what should i tell them if they don't get it ?? actually i told the shopkeeper in advance about the tint problem but he assured me there is no problem in current fone
Is there a possibility that i can get a new fone from the same shop I purchased it ? one of my friend bought an nokia x3 last year it has some minor faults (with os i guess) and got it replaced within 2-3 days . is it possible ?

the first few blocks were reddish , then purple , the second last one grey and the last one was white

I saw some white pics on fone they were normal . The purplish tint only appeared on black background . It appeared when i set my wallpaper to default and the clock was half purplish . Mine fone looks like the same fone in the pic u posted . the purple tint is absolutely the same as shown in pic .

Ok . Will do that tomorrow . Is there a need to go to the dealer too ? I went to this forum The n8 purple screen test please take part if you have a n8 - RESULTS ONLY PLEASE and there is a pic test in which if the block turns to purple then the screen is faulty . took the test and the blocks were purplish/reddish . Please let me know if the test is true ??

Yup I think I have the purple tint problem . Mine looks like the one purplish in the photo . But it appears only in some themes and clock . I'll try to post some pics . one more thing , sometimes the brightness automatically increases and decreases when i go to menu after a long time . Are you sure I will get a new phone or they will just change the LCD screen ( I don't want to settle for this ) ? Should I go to Nokia care center ? what can I do if the dealer refused to replace the fone ?

PS: rest of the fone is working fine . I got a fresh piece opened in front of me but it was manufactured in June .

hey got the fone today . Only one prob .. sometymzz it just not respond at one touch . the analog watch that appears when we press on/off button is half purplish . also the dealer told me to switch off the fone and charge it for the whole night

thankyou samrath for answering each and every query . I am getting a silver one coz dark grey are out of stock and will take a week time to arrive :X . Saw many phones like lg optimus , samsung wave 2 , htc and some blackberry shit . they all were fast and loaded wid good features but all looked dull in front of N8 . Once get it , will let u know abt my experience . Once again Thankyou

hey Samart saw n8 today !! will b getting it tomorrow . its manufacturing month is july . It was a little slow . I asked shop wala that does it shows music files and ringtones in music gallery just like 5800 he said yess it happens in all symbi fones

by slow running u mean the touch response is slow , takes times to load app , music , photos ??
