    I can't understand why you can't see purple tint elsewhere... All I know is that many N8's have the purple tint issue, and the rest don't.

    My fone is working perfectly fine and purple tint appears only on analog clock and nowhere else !! why is that ???

    If you get all your things in place, like your mobile's purchasing bill, proof of defect, etc. then it should take maximum 8 days, and no more.

    Otherwise, it might take more time. Give maximum details when you lodge your complaint, including internet reports, "comparison between the 2 screens" photos, etc.

    Going consumer court will be very hectic job . How much time it can take to resolve an issue and for whom should i file a complaint the shop or nokia care ok NOKIA ??

    Go to consumer court. If you haven't done this before, ask the "Suchna Kendra" of your city how to file a case...

    This should be a new experience for you, so do it. Show the images on the internet about the purple tint issue...


    You know my N8 was among the first in my city, but it has no issues till date. I'm wondering that with time, how did N8 quality decrease? Aren't Nokia taking care of it...?

    that is not possible i tried my best to convince them but they are not listening . Instead they are are saying that if u need replacement then send your mobile to hq they will check it try to rectify problem . if failed then another set will be sent to me (which could be new or old) . Same case happened to my 5800 . Sent to hq received after about a month. Received in a in a much worse condition . Sending fone to hq is a risk . Now i am thinking to resell it to nokia priority and ask for a brand new n8 or X7 .
    The set i bought was june manufactured so not so sure which month manufactured fone to buy . Is this a problem in X7 too ??

    Could be. My N91 was sent with for 3 keys not working... When it returned, those 3 keys were working, but another 4 were not working...

    There is risk in doing this. Demand a new handset only.
