What goes into an R1 ? Can the Busa be simply tanked with Power/Speed/Premium ?
Much more than touring I am into cornering.
busa was my first choice...but the cross plane crankshaft trick and the irregular firing of the bing bang engine of the new R1 has made me mad ! Now i cannot sleep before booking this bike. Plus the '10 R1 is also to have 3 power modes but unlike the modes of Suzuki vehicles R1s dont really affect the ECU..just manipulates throttle response.
The only thing that will make me NOT buy an r1 is if it needs a type of fuel not easily found in Pune and if it heats up insanely ! I have a ninja which would actually be the bike which I would ride for the cities.

Do u still reccomend the busa ?

10 R1 is good so is Fireblde. But looking at experiences and ownership cost R1 looks better option. It also depends why you buying it. if you are hardcore tourer like me i strongly recommend Busa. Reason lower compression ratios can fill any petrol anywhere second very comfortable seating position. 3 modes are extremely uselful in City/ rain riding.
Yes R1 has heating issues and I wear cramster pants for long rides. I suggest go for Busa if not then R1. Extremely happy with its performance and built quality so far.

    hey bro !
Thinking of booking the '10 R1 for late jan delivery.
Confused between Fireblah and R1. Aint a pro so i dont wanna buy a bike which needs more attention to driving skill in the initial years.
R1 says the heart Fireblah says the brain.
And most importantly..what about the R1 BarbeQ issues. Have you any time to throw some light on that ?
