U have great knowledge abt mech of bike i should thank u very much for providing valuable info regarding all my query....Its the same info i got it too from fellow xbhp GS150 owner siva thru orkut
"that is called slip gauge, its a metal strip of exact known thickness. I think its common to all bikes (intake valve clearance 0.8mm, exhaust valve clearance 1mm) this clearance is ensured by placing the slip gauge in the gap.

Thanks again,i went again to tell him to loose it,now the hamming sound gone, but hear the valve sound clearly...
what is the tool need to adjust valve? ..My mech now agreed() its a valve noise he need a blade like tool to adjust it properly.which is to be expected to arrive from main SC.When i call SC he told he will send soon...
I have a query? is that tool universal for all bike or there is one from OEM from suzuki bikes... SADly In my town except hero honda and TVS suzuki all are Sub SC only ,but bajaj have 2 sub SC, one of them is very good and the mech is trained by bajaj..
How much km will suffer due to valve ,I am getting 47 to 49kmpl compared to 52 to 54 in city....? previously

Yeah, I will clean it with diesel over the weekend. But unfortunately without removing the chain, as I dont have the tools/ skills required to remove it.
I checked the sprockets when I got the bike serviced on Saturday, & they looked good. Got the front one reversed. The mech was reluctant to reverse the rear wheel sprocket, so will get that done later.

Ya, pls do that. Actually mine does 109 in 4th!!
I think my bike does about 122-125 at redline in 5th. I barely redline it beyond 4th gear da.
BTW, the chain issue with my bike is so much better now. On a scale of 10, if the roughness was 10 earlier, its 2 now.

My bike does 48, 68 & 91 in 1st 3 gears respectively, at redline!! Can you check your's & let me know.
I remember you had once posted in the ownership thread that your bike does 103 in 3rd gear, & everyone had shot that down.
