    Hi Sarvajit,

I am Nag from hyd...I own a three month old grey gs150r...I have queries regarding the engine oils.......Please use your experience and first hand info to answer the queries...

Can we use different grade eoils for different seasons.....

1)Can we use 15w50 eoil(ss/fs) in my gs only in summers(Feb to June/July)....because the avg temps are 44c...(suzuki recommands 20w40)..

2)shift to 10w40 in winters.....or should continue with the 15w50..... reasons?

Have you tried polymer coating on your bike?if yes details of the shop where you did it and the price and advantages...

Nitrogen filling stations for bike tires.....in Hyderabad......

    Thanks,
    Nag.

Yes, thats the same area I was talking about. I haven't used that oil, but have heard a lot of praises from many who have. But come what may, no mineral oil will last more than 2.5K kms., less if the bike is used on touring.
If you are thinking of using your bike for touring, we can look at some Semi-synth options, provided the SVC does not make a fuss over the warranty etc. If you plan to use only in city, then you can go ahead with any mineral oil, change every 2K kms.

    Thanks a lot sarvajit,

If i am not wrong it is "RAMKOTE",i almost zeroed on this area, but was scracthing my head as this my first oil purchase.hence decided to play it safe and decicded to take advice from a senior member like you.

I will surely go for Gulf Pride 4T Plus 20w40,as suggested by you.is it your first hand experiance to say that it is the good oil...

Regarding the ss oil after 3-4k kms..will the suzuki accept to shift to ss oil from mineral oil..What are the best ss oil in the market as per your first hand experinace you suggest....

    Thanks,
    Nag.

Head to Koti bro...there is a lane in which all bike spares etc.are available. Anyone will direct you once you are there. Try Gulf Pride 4T Plus 20w40, its a good oil. Once you are done with 3-4K kms., maybe you can consider a semi-synthetic oil.
