I forgot you'd asked me to tell you about the performance of the 5100 ss. Sorry about that.

Well the performance is spectacular. Gearshifts are so so smooth that if I wear those sturdy type sports shoes while riding, I dont even feel the downshifts. Add to that the engine responce at higher rpms (7k and above) is much better than what it was with yamalube ss. This higher rpm test was also done by an r15 rider who has much more exp than me with r15's and riding on a whole. His name is shivanshu and he is a delhi member.

All in all If you'd ask me, I'd suggest that you go for it.

motul ss comes in many grades.....there is 5100 which is 15w50

    the 5100 v which is 15w40

and the 5100t whose grade I dont really remember

I'm thinking about the 5100 v or the 5100 according to availability

So...shifting to motul 5100 v on the next service eh?

I'm thinking about the same oil. I asked about it in the engine oil section and got just 1 responce "5100v is a good oil but not that good for r15.....i.e. its performance in bikes like p220 is good while in r15 it performs not so good"

Do you think I should go ahead with the motul 5100v ?

I'm really fed up with yamalube ss.....i mean 1.9k kms for a ss is just too less

Hiii, this is regarding the FOC radiatior change by Yamaha. Mine is 09May blazing red with chassis number ME120P01982016517. I asked with my local dealer regarding this and he was unaware of it. Can u please confirm me because i have read in ur post that all bikes between July08 and June09 with ME120P01 are eligible for it.

    Thank You
