Yes I will check the battery and the DS is still 3 months away. I will get it only by mid-May. I am already getting sleepless nights and I do day dream about riding the DS in some ghat sections.
Well the Ninja 250R is a quality bike and its such a pleasure to ride it. I am sure you will have a great time with your upcoming Kwacker.

Sirjee I'm writing this message with a smile which starts from one ear and ends at the other. I received the bike on the 1st and completed 520 kms on friday morning, 10th and gave it for 1st service as I couldn't control it on 60 for more time. I also changed my silencer to the indore silencer as my mechanic said it won't harm the engine in any way and the indore silencer is the most widely used silencer and it doesn't cause any harm to the engine.

The thump is maddening!!! I feel like I am riding a bloody 1970's model! The thump is genuine and filled with ample amount of base, enough to wake my entire society of 160 flats at my regular time of returning home of 2-3am!

Thank you very much for your suggestion sir, I can't tell you how happy I am

Increased the prices? that's bad. So how much is it now on road? 1.60k? I have not yet figured out if I will change the silencer yet. I might wait till I complete 3000 kms running at least. I think the Indore and the Sans Inc Goldstar are most suited.

They increased the prices of the classic by 5k :'(
They have paused the delivery of my bike coz they want more money!

Anyways I shall do the same to ensure smooth functioning of my bike!
About the upswept silencer, there are many mixed reviews on forums and its pretty confusing! What do you think of other brand of silencers which enhance the thump?

Hahaha I love the way you have described that the bike will ask for more throttle and I will give in! I think I am going to take your work on this and won't stress the bike until I finish the 1st service!
And about the service centre, Ive already done my research and I'm prepared for the challenges
Also, did you change the stock silencer to the upswept silencer?

I must thank you for a very fast reply and also for sorting out my doubt! The speed limit of 60kmph won't be a hassle I feel till 1500 kms, but I am sure you are talking from experience so I guess the situation will dictate over me but the bottom line is that if I should manage to keep it at 60kmph till I complete 500 kms and then
    1) Till how many kms should I maintain 80kmph?
    2) If I ride it for 1500kms at 60kmph, it won't harm the bike or its performance in anyway right?
    3) I am planning to for a 250 kms ride on the same day of the delivery or may be the very next day, do you think its a good idea? If I maintain speed limit of 60kmph? Or will it stress the engine?

Hey buddy, congrats on your rugged bull, I have read about your experience and it seems that you are enjoying a lot! The thing is my Classic 500 Black is going to be delivered by the end of this month and Im a little concerned about the run in period and the precautions Im supposed to be taking for the mighty bull! Ive read up at some places that you need to maintain a speed limit of 60kmph till you complete 2000 kms!! That just sounds brutal man! Can you please help me on this?

Very True- "Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity."

Funny- "98% of all Harleys ever sold are still on the road. The other 2% made it home."

Uncommon- "I refuse to tiptoe through life only to arrive safely at death."
