Yeah same city as Joel. Thing is that as far as I know Joel does not sell heads as he sells blocks. So I dont think you can order a head from him. This is probably because all Hero/Honda engines that share the same platform have the same blocks but different heads! For example Dazzy & Unicorn have identical block but different heads, even the old and new unicorn have different heads as far as I know.
I have heard of a few xbhpians who couriered Joel their heads for porting. Email him and see if he can then work on your head.
This guy even has a video about it: PORTED HEAD ON APACHE RTR 180 By race concepts - YouTube
Also if you are couriering your head and everything then the cost might go up to 5.5 but I got both, porting and big bore, done as a package so I think I got it cheaper. Plus I got a discount for giving him my original bore in exchange for big bore.
    Sorry abt ur k&n

Yeah the head porting was done by Joel himself. He has worked on both the inlet and exhaust ports, I guess made both of em bigger. By how much though I do not know. Nothing has been done to my valves/cams though. Dazzler already has higher lift cams than the unicorn and that I think is pretty optimal that's y i did not go for higher lift cams. And till the cams remain the same, there is no need to do anything to the valves either.
Am still on stock air filter and exhaust. While I will stick to stock exhausts, I may go in for a high flow filter later on.

Man 131 is pretty much mind blasting for me frankly! In my stock dazzler I had done a top of 119 on a slope going down from a flyover with me kissing the tank. And reaching 119 had taken like an eternity.

I have not tried out my top speed yet but touched 112kmph just like that one fine day while cruising and was pretty shocked at the effortlessness of the whole damned thing! Simply loved it!

I have not recorded times either for acceleration and frankly dont know how to since I dont have any camera mount or anything. Trying to figure that out.

But boy this baby goes now!

About other mods well have not done any. Live on my student's scholarship, ran outta money with the bigbore + head porting. So will probably save up for a few months and then see. Plus I want to get in some good solid miles with the current setup. Its just been around 700km so basically am enjoying what I have!

    Hey Buddy!

Nice to hear from you & my sincere thanks for the reply!

I actually got the 180cc block more than a month back & have done some 700km on it! So just to bring you up to date with the experience at my end:

    Oil levels are perfectly ok.

I am getting a consistent mileage of ~43kmpl with sane riding. But I get a low of 35kmpl with constant redlining.

    Engine heat is not much.

I initially faced a LOT of vibrations & was quite disappointed, but i got it rectified & now there are absolutely zero rattles, the engine has grunty feel near 3k rpm but is smooth as ever at 6k rpm.

    I touch exactly 80kmph at 6k rpm & like you 94kmph at 7k

I have not upjetted yet & was facing high amount of engine knock at low rpms. After tuning the carb, the knock has reduced & the low end pick up has increased.

Now that everything is solved I am feeling pretty good about the whole thing! Anyway that is the story at my end!

Again, thanks for replying. Ride safe!

    Cheers,
    Sid.

    Hi buddy!

Read your Joel'ed Dazzler review & I loved it! I also own a Dazzler & want to get the BigBore kit. I have already contacted Joel & got a quotation from him for the Big Bore 180cc kit.

I had a few questions to ask you & would be really obliged if you would answer:

    1) How many kms have you completed on Joel's kit?
    2) Are you facing any unusual oil burning issues? The oil level remains fairly constant right?
    3) What mileage do you get? Does it fluctuate or is it consistent?
    4) Are there any issues with engine over heating?
    5) Has the bike lost its smoothness?
    6) What is the speed of the bike at 6000rpms?
    7) A bigger carb is a bit over my budget. Do u feel the need of a bigger carb?
    8) How much did the BigBore cost you? My price may be more than yours, but I just wanted to know the cost difference is. If you want I can tell you my quotation.
    9) And finally are you satisfied? Would you advise me to go for it?

    Hoping 2 hear from you!
    Thanks a TON

    Ride Safe,
    -Sid (plasmabhai)

    no , i haven't installed a racing cdi
ive seen many on net but i wonder whether they fit our STOCK CDI's socket !
i tried new 110 activa"s n the bike didn't start so thought why to take a risk buying a racing cdi online from somewhere around 2500 bucks n wasting money is it doesn't work , so dropped the plan ! u have any idea abt these cdi"s ?
