Hey man congrats.. hope you have started saving up for the crash bobbins for the fairings. Do put up an ownership report once you finish the run in period.

Took the delivery of my most awaited bike. Finally... Sorry to disappoint but just took 1 picture as I was more interested in riding it rather than pose with it Initial impression - Bike is really smooth. Be it the gear shifts, the clutch, the engine, etc. Brakes are may be tad less sharp than the 250R. Good low and mid end power although didn't rev past 4K RPM restriction but could make out from the slight bursts. One feeling after riding it for almost 50-60 kms today is MONEY WELL SPENT.Name: IMG_3815.jpg

Congratulations brother! Very happy for you
You are now among the few chosen ones to ride the Ninja

    A couple of questions:
Are you the first owner in Mumbai?
Weighted at 172 kg does it feel a bit heavy to control in slow traffic? I sat on the display bike and found it pretty mass centralized and light...but how's the real world feel?
Is it difficult/takes much effort to pull it backwards sitting on the bike? Say from a parallel parking slot?
How's the exhaust note in real world? IMO Apache RTRs have amazing, deep exhaust note - how is Ninjas compared to that?
Are the RVMs really usable or do they show your jacket sleeves most of the times?
Lastly, did you get overwhelming, unwanted attention on road? I am quite sure you did

Now I can't wait to take delivery of my Ninja in June...I just can't wait any longer!

Congrats again mate, have fun and ride safe
    Cheers,
    Nikunj

P.S: even with the RC8 in the background, the Ninja steals the show

Congrats Usman on the Ninjette. Hope you have plenty of Happy Riding Days ahead. Though Arsenic has bombarded you with questions ,answers to which I too am eagerly awaiting can you throw some light on the comfort of the seat and would it be comfortable during long hauls or would it be a butt buster?

Firstly Thanks Nikunj. Would be more than happy to answer your questions as I can understand the waiting situation very well :-). Atleast from the KTM east showroom I am the first person to take delivery and actually was the 1st person to book there as well. Don't think Vashi showroom has given any deliveries yet. As for the weight, I use to own CBR 250R before this so in comparison this is much much easier to control in traffic and doesn't feel heavy at all to me atleast. Doesn't take much effort to pull it back sitting on the bike. Regarding the exhaust note, I was in love with the exhaust note since the time I heard it during the unveiling and still have the same views on the sound. My friend who owns a Ninja 250R also told me the same thing that this sounds better than the 250R. RVMs are decent if you adjust it the right way. Coming to the attention bit, I would leave that for you to experience it yourself .

Thanks arnavsameer. Seat is a little on the harder side but more or less fine.

Hey thanks arun. Am sure you joining me next week as I got to know from them that your bike's registration should be done soon. I wont be installing any frame sliders and even if I do I wouldn't need to buy it from out as I import it myself. Regarding the tankpad I am looking out for a nice 1 which am currently searching. will let you know if I like anything.

Congrats on getting the bike usman. I have a question, how are the brakes on this bike? I did notice that you mentioned that its not as sharp as the 250, but is it too bad, or good enough? Also what brakes are they using for the 300? Nissin?

Thanks Usman. I guess till the time there are more Ninjas out there a lot of people are going to pester you on the ownership, that includes me. When can we expect more pictures of the beauty in flesh from your end? Also if you dont mind sharing where do you import your frame sliders from as i too am looking for a set for my to be delivered ninjette.

Wednesday can't come fast enough ... Btw I wanted to know what is your plans on registeration? Once the papers are in place and the number is decided, will the ktm east guys afix the number plate if you take your bike there during the weekend? Also what papers do you have at present to prove to any cops about it being registered until then?
The reason I'm asking this is because when I enquired about taking delivery under temp registeration, the ktm guys told that I would be given necessary papers but it'll be valid only for the way from my house to the showroom!!!

I may just go and take the bike tomorrow as soon as I land but wanted to know if the remaining work of getting the papers and fixing the number plate will be borne by me or if the showroom guys will help me out.
