It just ensures that Royal enfield has listed down the frequent issues and is prompt in replacing those parts if they get faulty.
It just ensures they are counting on the fact that not all bikes will have the same faulty rate for same parts.
Then it makes the existing and prospective buyers to question the authenticity of the claims made by Royal Enfiled about rigorous testing of Himalayan in Himalayas and elsewhere in 4 or N no. of phases. It makes them think that it was just a publicity and media event done for advertising.
Indeed the concept of a touring adventure bike, are met by Himalayan and it reflects in its performance too, but everything crumbles when the reliability of product is not certain.
I presume most of failing parts are result of poor quality (which itself is a result of poor vendor selection) and lack of thorough R&D.

I am myself holding on my decision to buy the Himalayan on same grounds that the Royal Enfield has yet not sorted all the issues and is primarily active on only replacing pasrts ASAP. I tried to get specific details (if not in written then atleast verbally), that what exactly was done to resolve the issues, but all I get mostly is a blanket answer that new lot is not having these issues, whereas I have seen several cases on forum itself where issues were reported on new bikes itself.

Thanx for the promt answer bro. I myself also am on a hold for BS4 version to see how the build up is. planning to north india tour by year end so want a ALL-IN-ONE bike to take me n bring me back safe without any issues.

I own an Impulse by the way n it has not give me a single issue till now from past 4 yrs. n clocked 21k kms.
    I need something like that.

Ya, me too was watching the vid just yesterday. God.. He had to go to Service centre three times at Tezpur, Lucknow & Nashik. It's true. RE's are playing with the life of ppl. Bcoz in areas like the NE, Sikkim, Bhutan, J&K (Not sure), Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, Inner MP, etc; if ur bike fails. It can be a huge disaster with not even proper shops around for miles. Even till date, I think Bullets don't have tubeless tires. What the ****.. At least with Tubeless tires, ppl can go to the next auto garage on the road. But, with tubed tires ur stranded rite then and there..
It's a humble request to just accept their faults & work on it for the betterment of customers..

A true rider will love his bike always irrespective of brand which is taking him places without issues. I love my zma even this bike given me all sort of troubles in 3 years of ownership but never broke up like this in video in the middle of nowhere.

I have seen a lot of REH riders in ladakh came from farthest of places without any issues whereas seen many RE classic 350 broke down. Difference is due to quality issue, comparatively and probabilities of major break down is more with RE.

if similar thing happened to me like this video, i would simply sell it and never look back.

the reason re is not changing cause their sales are sky rocketing. ppl just love their bikes despite its issues. why would re invest more in r &d and better quality product if it keeps selling more than they could make?
