    Default Bajaj CT100B

    Hi Guys,

After my TVS vs Bajaj thread, I just bought Bajaj CT100B few minutes ago. Its 8PM, hence will update pics tomorrow. But here is little bit of experience. Bought from SELECT BAJAJ in Habsiguda, Hyderabad. Guys look desi but honest. Rest time will tell. By the time I reached home after 2km of first ride, I realized these:

    1. Indicators not working
    2. Bike was already been used for 24 km, thats what odometer said, 26K and I was
    3. Horn stopped working halfway home
    4. Indicator Buzzer is not giving beep-silent-beep but non-stop continuous beep.

Why all this happened. Any ideas from your experiences ?

P.S. I was sad at first and angry but then I realized, Its real life, shit happens. Will go tomorrow to them and get everything corrected.

EDIT: Went to the dealer. Mechanic said, battery is dead and they will charge it for 30 min and give me back then. I told him I just bought it last night and its new battery and its dead, I asked for a replacement. They replaced in front me without any hesitation. All the above problems are corrected. Here are some pics, please bear with my fixed-focus camera of Lenovo phone:

Bought for approximately 39K from SELECT BAJAJ in Habsigudawith all accessories:

    1. Seat-Cover
    2. Petrol-Tank Cover
    3. Saree-Guard
    4. Leg-Guard
    5. 2 more accessories I no longer remember
    6. Side-Box bought for 650/- and Petrol-Lock for 130/- from Raghuvendra Automobiles, Habsiguda on Habsiguda-Nacharam road. His shop on left-side when you are going from habsiguda to Nacharam. No bargaining he does. When I tried he said price is correct and fixed, will not change.
    7. Fitting I did from Shakoor Bhai, 1-2 shops earlier than Raghuvendra Automobiles. He took 40/- for Petrol-Lock and 150/- for Side-Box. No bargaining here either.
    8. Helmet is STUDDS CHROME, 1100/- with bill, from Javed Bhai's shop on PATNEY junction. His shop is 2nd from beginning of row. First shop owner has 3-4 guys sitting outside his shop who catch customers from road but the owner himself neither respects customers nor he talks well.

    Hi Arnuld,

I am also interested in Bajaj CT100B but I do not find it in the Bajaj Auto website, I only find CT100. I would like to know what made you go for this bike? is it the price factor or comfort.

    Thanks.

The continuous beeping normally happens when the bike is washed.

Continuous Beep is probably because the flasher is faulty or not connected properly....

    Firstly, congratulations!

Secondly, these are small issues that should have been seen before bringing the bike home.
    1. Check wires and connections.
    2. Normal. Stockyard to dealership maybe 24km away and many bikes are ridden to the dealership.
    3. Check wires and connections.
    4. Again, check wires and connections. Also, continuous beeps may mean one or both indicator bulbs may have fused.

@samurai95 : It is present on their wesite here , just expand the DIMENSIONS section and you will see dimensions of both CT100 and CT100B. There is no dedicated page though, if you are looking for one. Answer to your 2nd question is Price. It is the cheapest bike you can get and it looks pretty good to my eyes too. I knew several people 10 years ago who had CT100 and I never saw them spending much on maintenance. This was reason #2 I bought it. Low price means low charges for spare parts too.

@siddharth-singh & @rreneav1987 : It was because of washing, in my case.

@divya-sharan : I did check the connections, indicator buzzer was bit weaker in volume but I thought it will be fine once I start driving (mistake #1), not techincal as much as you Divya . By the time I realized after 1km of ride, which took me some time because of heavy traffic, I could not go back because it was 8 PM, their closing time. BTW, how one checks wires and connections, I don't think you meant open the side-cover and check directly on battery. Did you ? (I have been using only cycles till date. CT100B is my first real 2-wheeler).

Congrats on your purchase. I love the spokes on these bikes than the alloys that were on the Platina

Default Petrol Lock and Reserve Tank Confusion

I bought CT100B just recently and put petrol lock on it. I have not gotten the manual yet, Specs on this website says its reserve capacity is 2.4L. Before delivering it, mechanic said he has put only 1/2 liter petrol in it and I should go refill immediately, later I put 200 rupees of petrol (roughly 3L) in it and now it has completed 230 km in it but still the fuel knob it is in ON position, it has not come to RESERVE. How it is possible ? What exactly is wrong, is petrol lock wrong/not-working ?

Original petrol knob (green pipe here in pic) positions:
    1. UP -- Reserve
    2. DOWN -- On
    3. MIDDLE -- Off

    Petrol-Lock positions:
    1. UP: Off
    2. anti-clockwise: On
    3. clockwise: Reserve
