[quote=santoosh;170529]Iv ridden for 400+ kms on all combinations

1. 2 60/55w bulbs(NB & SS)
2. 1 60/55w + 1 35/35 w (NB + GE)
3. 1 HID + 60/55w(SS)
4. 2 HID's

completely agree with santoosh .the first combination is dangerous.Maybe because I am using 2 Philips 60/55 ,they draw more power than osram is my guess. In any long distance ride the battery completely exhausts itself.
seen this phenomenon thrice on weekend rides.
Last time was the height, first time I had to "dhakka-Start" R15 but was a piece of cake, only 10 feet my friend pushed and it started smoothly.

All in all good learning experience ,no great damage ,battery gets recharged after sometime.

If a 3.5 ah battery can provide the power to ECU, 35watt HID & a 55watt bulb along with all other electrical stuffs like radiator fan etc in R15, then it is quite feasible for a 9 ah battery to provide power to a 55/60 watt bulb in my RTR. Am i right?

BTW what is the magneto spec for R15?

That is Japanese engineering. Santa had posted pics of the coil somewhere here and he was saying that the magneto is totally different aiding quick and efficient charging of the battery while keeping the weight to a minimum. So u can run all the mentioned things on a 9ah battery as long as ur charging it properly. Else it will be a case of spending more than what u earn!

Please dont draw parallels like that. The recharging setup in the R15 is excellent. I think its a small coil yet it works very well and charges the battery very quickly. Indeed its japanese brilliance at work.
