I completed 980kms . I am facing problems regarding the Gearbox. Its not at all smooth , infact it suddenly downshifts itself(if thtz not happenin ,atleast i feel that its happenin), i almost skid today due to this prb , my exams r thr this weekend so ill probably go to the SVC on sunday.i faced the Hicup prb as mentioned by chicane , but it doesnt bother me much as the gearbox prb

Thats an unusual problem prolly just with your bike. Gearbox for my bike is really slick.

Finally, first service of my bike done . I am gonna share my views about RTR 180 in a different way...

# Date- Thursday, 27 August, 2009

# Amount Charged- 234 Rs.

# Total Distance covered- 700kms

# Mileage achieved-
Max 52 kmpl
Min 46 kmpl

# Longest Ride- 125 kms

# Top Speed achieved- 105 kmph

# Idle RPM-
(Before Service) 1.4 k
(After Service) 1.1 k
(Gonna adjust it tomorrow, trying to feel any difference between them)

# Stares, praises, appreciation and Looks I got- Still counting !!!

# Issues Faced-
(Physically) Slight wrist pain.
(Mentally) None.

# Looks- Distinct (City's First) !!!

# Acceleration- Awesome, no doubt!!!

# Braking- Accurate.

# Handling- God !!!

# Night Visibility- Fine.

# Exhaust Sound- Like Hip-Hop Music !!!

# Quality of Service- Good.

# Vibrations Felt- Less than RTR160 !!!

# False Gearing-
(Before Service) Not at all...
(Immediately After Service) Yes
(Hope this sorts out after few days)

# To the owners- ( I want ur comments on---)

Teflon Coating
Wax or polish
Full Rear Mudguard
High Security Numberplate
Any other engine oil
This First service report...

Which Oil is Recommended for RTR 180? What is the Rating? 20W50 or 20W40 ?which brands?

thanx and i m gonna change engine oil for sure...
