i can see this to be FZ-16 upgrade with a cosmetic half flaring
the half flaring is mear cosmetic wont add to performance...

we can clearly see FZ-16 handle bar and not FZ-S clipons and rest similar to FZ-16

imp Questions is yamaha has caught the mix and match bajaj virus which was transfered to HH lately
so all new buyers have a variety of bikes in 150 category at various price points enven overlapping many higher cc bikes ... good lets see how consumers aka most buyers react

are all FZ-16 owners felling the same as pulsar owners... ditched?.. i dont know but would love to know how existing owners gulp this cosmetic upgrade if it costs few k and one cant mount the flaring on old FZ-16 due to non existance on mounting points

my take welcome yammy to world of indian motorcycling a low cc market wich feeds on regular / yearly upgrades.. i expect VFM product from their stables soon to meet market cap

Clip on as in RTR like clip ons? Really, does FZ-S come with those? I never saw one .. neither in real nor in pics.

@blackcatasus: FZ-S/16 have same handlebars.

@jigar2speed: That's what we have to understand. These two are different bikes offering different riding styles. Hence, even if the upcoming FZ16 has a more powerful engine offering better performance it won't kill the R15's market.

Actually you are wrong. FZ series in International market has 2 offerings. One comes naked and other is faired... So it's customer's choice, if they would like the naked one or the faired one

Well that's where Indian market is still learning. If you see people comparing R15 with Nano, you simply can't deny this(FZ-R) would sell like hot cakes against R-15. So it's still some time for Indian bikers to go through this phase (Cosmetic and no performance) before they understand company's offering.

Road testing is a very very important aspect before releasing a vehicle into the market. Let us be glad that the FZ16 was rigorously tested and Yamaha is following this as a principle. Heard of Yamaha & TVS. Who else is doing this? yes, GS150R was caught on road tests, a particular P200 was...

well, that's a good thing for customers.
