HOLY $H!T. Is Yamaha desperate to go back to their old days? I dont understand who takes care of the marketing division in Yamaha. Can they learn something from Maruti in that there is a huge profit by being a volume player. Well why go to Maruti? They ought to learn this from HH as well. I can clearly see Yamaha failing in near future when there will be enough FZ16 on the roads and there will not be any of three factors to save its skin namely FE, Power or exclusivity.

Brand Yamaha in India has always been associated with Power, Pickup and Performance.. According to me they should be focussing on strengthening their Core Brand Values.. and not making bikes that just appear powerful and fast.

the bike is overpriced. I wonder how many takers will it have!!!!! They should have plonked atleast a 180-200cc engine onto that good looking thing

The RTR 180 has an introductory ex showroom price of around Rs. 64,500.. therefore at 72K, the Yamaha Fazer would roughly be 7K costlier than the RTR180.

My heart actually goes out to the Apache RTR180.. just remember the buzz it had generated online when it was code named as the "Menace"..
