Imo yamaha should have tweaked the engine and the gears a bit. The bike looks good though and the looks and the front fairing are going to be it's USP besides the yamaha brand name.

Has anyone witness the bike, what abt the dials have they changed or borrowed from FZ,

Guys let's keep things related with the new launch and the product rather than comparing it with other brands at that cost.

My point is if they call it touring machine has its gear ratio changed then i guess its a good buy.

Has anyone take a test ride

The Bike looks good... But I am not so sure about its touring capabilities, unless some radical changes have been made in the gearing/engine tuning.

This should help answer your first question. The company website already has a page on it. Check out the features section

Products | India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd.

I'm not sure about the gearing. With no changes in the specifications, all I see right now is visual upgrades. Having said that, since no one has yet come out with a test ride opinion on it, i guess i spoke too soon.

Every company have their own way of producing engines and bajaj is known for their rev friendly engines where Honda is for Butter smooth engines. There are so many people commuting in Bajaj say Pulsar say from 150 to 220 and not much of a complaints and every one is pretty happy with our own bikes than u as u never seem to think on ur own, cos as u've mentioned u just bought ur bike as everyone bought it..so u would not really no what it means about bikes...

@ MODS, Sorry if there is any breach in policy, this is not Brandwar, just that that statement Highlighted seems to have irritated lot of us and can be deleted if want.

so whats that rev friendly engine mean.i bought yamaha coz i have been using yamaha for the past few years . many of my friends have bajaj bikes, those bikes just wobble after 1-2 yrs..and not like yamaha or honda bikes.
have u ever heard any of the guys buying a bajaj bike which is 10yrs old,..never.but people still buy rx100....so better keep tht in mind..
