Default KTM Factory Visit : Austria

KTM Factory Visit : Austria

I had the fortune of visiting the KTM Factory in Mattighofen, Austria for a quick tour before I was supposed to leave for Austria. I saw the KTM 125 Dukes from India being unpacked and rechecked for quality. Along with that were ATVs, Adventures and the lot.

The assembly lines are capable of assembling any product by changing the assembly components and heads in within 24 hours. So a line which is assembling a KTM RC8 today might e schedules to assemble an ATV day after.

Around 1300 employees work in the small town of Mattighofen near Salzburg with another 300 dedicated KTM employees all over the world, making a total of approx 1600 KTM employees on rolls.

I love the pics..Superb quality.Thanx sunny!!

What I dont like is the quality and the difference between us and them, Since you mentioned they are built in India and then imported there, all I want to ask is why arent they sold here when they are created some X kms away from home. Is our government so ^%$#&* corrupt that the needy ones dont get such machines. Look at the tire there..Its MRF (Madras Rubber Factory) the same stuff you get in Pulsars and HH bikes.

Chuck the bikes, we dont even have such type of tires for sale back here from MRF...i mean of this size.

These bikes are found to be caught testing here and there, back in KTM factory they are ready to be sold. What sort of a Bull%^&*policy are we amending regarding imports or even country made machines. Why Iam getting a feeling to be living in a sorry country. I love this land but certainly not this why. Are we adopting the same English policy, if that's the case then the faces have changed but not the mentality.

All i want to know is why this difference..I love the way they are created, but why not the creating land have its pleasures. Sorry if this is OT.cant help it had to get it out after seeing such pictures.
