Well, my Pulsar 200 is hardly 5 months old, have only done 2 of the five free services till now.

The only maintainence I do as of now is chain cleaning and lubrication, for which I spent about 900 bucks, and nitrogen in the tyres, which was 50 bucks when I filled up 3 months back! :-)

Oh, and I switched to Motul 300v, which cost me 1700 for 2 cans.

I own a P200, March 2009.

5000 Km on the ODO
All five free services done
Used the Bajaj recommended oil for the first three changes.. cost - 700-800 something (all three)
Switched to Motul 5100T on the fourth, cost - 790 (two cans)
Rear brake pad changed, cost - 200/-
Left switch console cable - 100/-
Filled er up with Nitrogen 3 months back, was charged 20 bucks the first time, and 0 bucks for top-ups

(there are other costs due to an accident which I have not taken into consideration here)

total cost - approximately 2000/- in 7 months

Bike - honda unicorn dazzler
Kms done - 21K & 16 months old.
All 4 free servicing done at honda svc, was only charged for engine oil during each service.
After this normal serving like cleaning & lubing chain, cleaning/replacing spark plug, replacing air filter(viscous type, so no cleaning), draining carburetor, changing engine oil, all this is done by me, so no labor cost
Parts replaced so far-
spark plug - Rs 110/-
air filter - Rs 150/-
Apart from this I change engine oil at every 2K kms which costs approx. Rs 300/-
The only major maintenance cost I had to bear was that of replacing cone-set & fork alignment (total Rs850/-)
So, we can say that so far this bike has been very light on maintenance cost.

So total cost in 16 months(including all engine oil changes at every 2K ie 10 oil change) = 850+110+150+(300*10) = Rs 4110/-
So per month cost = Rs 257/- only

tvs flame 3 year old,36K total run, except service charges ( including engine oil cost) the maintain cost are as below:
(1) spark plug change at 15K and 30K Rs 400
(2) chain set change at 30K Rs 650
(3) brake shoe change at 28K Rs 175
so total cost Rs 1225 in 3 year, Rs 408 in one year.
