Most of them[at least in Bangalore],cheat with the quantity of petrol
filled to your bike.

Instead of reserve to reserve, try filling it full tank and use and top up full tank again, which will give you the exact fuel spent. reserve to reserve can never be accurate.

I have an Apache 150CC probably the last batch that came out before the RTR 160. Trust me guys I still remember during the initial Run-in I was so curious about mileage as it was my 1st own bike.

I used to carry a bottle of petrol to see when the bike stops after filling it with 1 litre fuel. I tried it thrice and I got 71Kmpl as an average on the three runs.

Now after celebrating its 4th birthday, still is runs a healthy 60Kmpl and it never drops below.

Note: I run the bike always under 4K RPM, less clutch usage and with smooth shifts (Even the crank wont notice it

)

Exactly,
We should use Tank Full Method than reserve to reserve method. Personally experiencing, I have found Tank Full Method more accurate than Reserve method. Besides, our friend svinayraj should change the petrol bunk that is famous in goodwill and quality!

If possible, try to figure out your faults if there is any, and ride with pride!!! You can find all of the tips to increase your mileage in this thread as well. Read carefully!

P.S.
I used to get mileage of accurate 46KM/L in my previous 125cc Gladiator!
I am getting mileage of 42KM/L in 150cc Yamaha YZF R-1-5. Hope I will get more after second servicing!!!
And always, we should follow the protocols that increases the Fuel Efficiency unless we find any race track!
