Hey Guys,
As I had mentioned in my Intro thread, I have booked my FZ-16 which i should be getting delivered in a couple of days. I learnt riding on my Bro's passion which is quite old (but still very reliable , and still get stuck sometimes (especially on uphill slopes) in traffic on that bike. Since am not that smooth a rider yet, I have a query that my seem silly to some, but is just a doubt that I'd like to clear. Are any things that I should know and keep in mind when riding this newer technology bike.. Esp with regards to the service, riding style (and tachometer ) that might be drastically different from the HH Passion? All tips and suggestions are welcome as well. Thanks! |

Its one of the usual Bikes - and there is nothing different you have to follow in it,,,, The things which change in from passion to FZ is only the Gear Pattern and the Rear sets,,,,,, I dont think you have to learn any new aspects to drive an FZ......

Dear Vinais, Congrats for going inn for FZ... Its been a year for me with my FZ & it never disappointed me for any issues concerning ownership experience.
* FZ driving characteristics is completely different from Passion, U sit on the bike & the complete scenario is different right from handle-bar style to legs widening up to in-gear acceleration to handling.... Everything is brilliant compared to other bikes in the market. * Try to be precise in shifting gears & be as soft as possible with the acceleration-part especially during first 2-3k kms as this is the period when bike should be driven smoothly & accurately & try not to bump gears rapidly one-after-the-other as in MotoGP style. * If u're going for Black color..then U've to be EXTRA careful bcoz this color needs special care otherwise it will look dull if U don't maintain bike's exterior neatly. * Try to keep bike teflon-coated once in every 3 months if U find it difficult to maintain bike's exterior due to buzy schedule. * Plz pay a little extra & get an additional horn fitted at showroom itself bcoz FZ has single horn & will sound like Scooty... NOT MUCH LOUD SEEING THE BIKE'S NAKED CHARACTERISTICS...Don't go for any extra fittings in terms of HIDs/LEDs... My bike's battery drained on 11th month & thankfully I fought a lot & managed to replaced it under warranty. * Try to fill Nitrogen in both tyres & that will keep your tires life longer & will help U with good mileage as well (Rear tyre cost 3800 change for a new one) * Try to run your bike on premium petrols as this will keep your new bike further smooth in-gear acceleration. * Don't forget to post some beautiful pics with good background locales as this will keep you also cherished at times in future. * Also, if u think that U will fill petrol of something around above 500 every week..then go for Petrocard from Bharat Petroleums bcoz as U will earn points & rewards and U can encash for every penny u are spending on fuel. (www.petrocard.com) Further I'm not getting points to share with U..., if U've something I mind...Revert back with further enquiries from Ur part once u takes delivery of your bike. |

Nitrogen gas can be filled in the tyres instead of air. It lasts longer than air i.e, you won't need to fill in frequently. It costs Rs. 50 for one tyre. |
