Default Irritating horns

I start this thread because in now days usage of horn increases day by day especially by the teenagers. They use horns without any reasons and this causes a lot of irritation on the roads.I noted it many times that especially those people who have smaller capacity bikes uses horns more than those of higher capacity bikes. They just go to a local mechanic and change their small horns to big hooters and then the game begins. Some of them are so idiot that they uses horns on the no horn zone and traffic signals also,i dont know that how these morons even think of it.According to me the most irritating stock horn award goes to bajaj discover and pulsar 150 dts-i.Let the discussion begins.Xbhpians please discuss here your issues and stories related to these horn striken nuts.

ha ha nice thread
I small towns people use some tuner kind of thing
when ever you pull front brake a song start " KANTA LAGA"
or "JATA DA CHORA"
And some people have horns like - lady screaming like any thing or a baby crying.
Some have hooters like "HHHHHHHHUUUUUUUNNNNNNNHHHHHUUUUUNNNNNNN"
bad bad bad this scares hell out of any one,
one can loose his/her balance on road(especially two wheelers).

dude..yes horns are bad when not used in the way they should be used....and irritating stock horn award goes to disco and pulsar?? why? i think they are the best stock horns in the market, they are loud but not sooo loud that everyone has to use ear plugs, these type of horns are needed to keep the people away from the road, most of the people think that the road is kinda graden place and roaM here and there, especially village people..so irritating, they dont evn pay heed to the vehicles coming..alll those people are blind and deaf..they live in thier own world..
so it is absolutely necessary to have a good horn.

There is nothing bad in putting up a large horn.
A stock Karizma has a horn that puts Bajaj Sunny to shame!

Pulsars on the other hand have one of the most wonderful stock horns, so does Zuki Zeus and GS150R.

The problem is not with the horn, its rather with the thumb that uses them at most stupidest reasons. Like it is well said, most of the accidents are caused by the NUT between the Handle bar and Saddle.

Loud horns are good, for vehicles going at good speeds, especially in India where you can not be sure when some one might be jumping in from a road divider, straight into your track, tossing away your bike. But the use is purely at one's discretion.

Stupids would use it to show that I have a bigger one(Read-Bike, Battery, Horn)! Sensible would use it to mark his presence in a subtle way.

I have seen people putting up pressure horns and what not in/on their punny steeds and honking them at almost most every place, including schools, hospitals and places of the kind. But we cant blame them, its their thinking. For they are the ones, who would buy a 1.25 Lac rs. bike and still wear a 100rs. Helmet. They have nothing precious to save, and hence they are giving out a loud statement by usage of a LOUD Horn!.

horns should come with a device in the relay or something that does not allow it to be used again for the next 30 seconds.
people will replace it but there needs to be a top down initiative to minimize horn use.

horns are only to be used in a potentially dangerous situation to let other people know of your presence. they are NOT for clearing the way.

i never had a horn on my bikes. (weight reduction) i just ride a bit more defensively, and i absolutely feel safe without it.

in my opinion, the real problem is not horns but the aggression. in general, Indians are among the most uncultured and impolite people in the world... especially on the road in control of a vehicle.

very idiotic suggestion but i think there should be a volume control type something so that we can control the volume when we are on highway or in city accordingly.
