Default The Art of Safe Riding

The Art of Safe Riding is the first initiative by xBhp to educate motorcyclists about the the way a motorcycle should be ridden on the road to avoid mishaps.

It is not meant to be a comprehensive guide nor meant to replace actual road riding experience and exceptional circumstances that may arise on the road.

The manual has different sections and has been developed primarily by Old FOx (Sandeep Goswami) with my design inputs and CEAT's support.

So here is hoping that we can hammer in some sense to every motorcyclist/xBhpian who reads this:

ridesafewith.me

One request: Share this with as many people as you can! Just say rideSafeWith.me !

You can also key in your inputs to develop the material here:

You can use this image to share the link (http://www.rideSafeWith.me) on your Facebook etc profiles:

Just a brilliant compilation...This was more or less explained by OF sir across various threads on xbhp..seeing it at one place & that too in such a simple & visual form makes it a first as well as informative piece of initiative.

This is also a good info to circulate among others who are not on Xbhp...

topi off!! nice job

Quote:
A pillion who ‘resists’ leaning and tenses up during acceleration and while braking can seriously upset the bike’s balance and things can go from bad to dangerous in a moment. Compared to a small bike, the acceleration on a superbike will necessarily feel a LOT stronger and this can scare most pillions. Same with braking. Talk to them before the ride and tell them what to expect.
This is so similar to a passenger briefing before you take someone on a flight,or before throwing the plane into a spin .. negative g's postive g's zero g's etc..
my pillion experience on the ninja reminds me of the "funny sensation in the stomach" as the rider ripped the throttle open witha menacing grunt

very well done sunny bhai nd mr sandeep.. its a must read for everyone [especially for the local rossi's in lucknow] i.e if they pay any heed to it..
i wish we could have a section of this ride safe material in fine print in the leading newspapers.. will have a greater impact on a bigger bunch of readers
my 2 cents ...

wilco

to learn about finer nuances of bikes and technical jargon ive been frequenting a local mechanic in my area.. he keeps explaining ,while working on the bikes.. is it a safe bet??
