Guys the only problem I've with my FZ is that my bike is always covered with mud (since only MUDDY roads due to pipeline work going on everywhere at my place) during the rainy season (traditional Indian Roads....WTF), & I have to take my bike out whatever the weather is...........
so guys can you help me how to protect it from getting dirty (I've the extended mudguard also) & since its a daily business, cannot wash daily, & since my bike is only 4 months old I don't wanna get it rusted TOO EARLY

Washing twice a month is alright, I only wash alloys/tyres/mudguards/engine bottom/main stand and silencer bottom etc other days if it gets covered with mud. On body panels and consoles etc I first soften mud/dirt etc with wet cloth (dry cloth against hardened mud/dirt results in round swirl marks), then i use soft dry cloth to remove water spots. and I have high quality shaving brush with very very soft bristles to clean places where cloth cant reach. Dont apply too much pressure in any of above steps, gently clean.

Use carnauba wax, I prefer Formula 1.

Keep an eye on rust at places like number plater holder etc, such places have tendancy to rust easily, buy a matching color spray can and apply it after scrubbing rust from metal.

Use very very small quantity of surf/hair shampoo etc in small bucket of water. Dip clean soft cloth in mixture and start washing. As long as u use tiny amount of surf/shampoo it will not harm bike's paint. Some people add 1/4th shampoo bottle to water resulting in fingers getting stick together. Such rich mixture feels like washing bike with glue and its very harmful for bike.

Guys, how about using this (given in the pic) which is attached to the leg guard, to avoid mud accumulation into the engine, just waiting for opinions, or should I leave it as it is. Also I want to what is carnauba wax/formulae 1... because I don't know abput it & what about WAXPOL or something like that (cant remember the name properly)
