Hey All,
I agree and in some way enjoy the attention. Many a times I even take the time out to smile back and wish them luck for their unprepared for events. ![]() I ride an RE TBTS and have done quite a few rides including Off-roading on some of the most difficult Terrains Including Dirt, Gravel, Stones, water, Tough inclines combined in most cases. Learnt my lessons, pretty early in my riding stint. Gears are the most important things on rides. Experience: 1st Off-road ride (For all those who know the place was “Slopes of Hell, Near Kamshet”) and I had a minor fall with Valley on one side and hard, rough rocks/stones on the other. Thankfully I had the gear (borrowed from a friend) so I decided to go for the rock and saved the day for myself. I still think had I not got the gear on I would wasted time analyzing and lost the time to save my self. Bad Part of the story is here: I did have the gloves and palms where bruised really really bad. It took like a week to get a little close to bearable. Till then I had trouble in simple activities like eating, and obviously lost some weight then . Evan worse was no computers for two days, i hope you'd guess the others i'd love to mention.![]() ![]() ![]() So the first ride after the recovery was to the ATM and closely followed by a sports equipment shop. |

I have been driving Ninja for the last 3 days in Pune city, here are some of my experiences. Some of them hilarious, enjoy -
-On Nagar Road, one chap on a HH splendor was driving at a break neck speed at 25 kms/ hr . On seeing him overtake, he in turn overtook me and started going zig-zag in front of me. At this movement I slowed my speed and he felt he had won the race with Rossi. -In one of housing societies I visited, the security guard stopped me and asked me the cost of the “Doom” bike and would let me go only after I do a Wheelee . I told him I am in no position in doing this as I have been riding this bike for only 2 days. I promised him I will do this next time when I visit this place again. ![]() -Some of the people get really confused (especially at the signals) after seeing a person on Green Kwacker wearing a full faced Marushin Helmet, Glover, Lumberjacks shoes and A* Jacket and clocking 40 km/hr. I decided to give a skip to the gloves & the jacket for the time being and will wear them in phased manner so that they get confused slowly!! ![]() -I heard many kids shout “Ninjaaaaa” and point out to their friends. I think they are our future Rossi’s. I always think +ve -One of my colleague asked if I had brought the bike for my kid for the future. More to come in the coming days ..

My friend asks- 'Why do you wear helmet and gloves for your old Activa and for short distances?'
That's stupid. It doesn't matter what and where you're riding. If you fall at 50km/h, you'll still get hurt. It doesn't require a powerful bike to wear safety gear. It's never meant for the bike. It's for the rider. People should understand this. As xBhp says- the rule zero is to wear a helmet. Regards, Vignesh G |

When I started riding bikes, like most people in our country I bought a helmet for Rs. 750/- and did not give it much thought. Then one day while flicking through an old edition of Motorcyclist magazine, I came across an advertisement for Bell Helmets. What really hit me was the headline: 'If you have $10 head wear a $10 helmet'!!! That really got me thinking, have I selected the right helmet????..... and I certainly value my head as more than $10 worth
![]() ![]() For me, it started a journey into the motorcycling world and a love affair with bikes that is still going on (and I hope it will go on till the day I have to finally rest and sleep) ![]() Today, when people see me with my Helmet, gloves, jacket and riding shoes, they stare and snigger, some even comment something like 'Bada aya rider bane', but then they are the ignorant ones not us and who are we to educate them. Ignorance is bliss, so let them have their bliss. Let us count our blessings that over here we have a group of like minded people who can discuss their passion away from the ignorant masses.

You live more in five minutes on a bike like this
|
i think cause common man does'nt get "grown up" so fast to "digest" it.that is why they stare-if they do. other wise people look closely to see the beauty of the gear and also to recognise the individual in side it !! after all why people stare at a woman wearing a trendy modern outfit ??

guys today our college bus ran over a bike.
![]() The guys were at goods speed in a curve ,skidded and the bike slided under the back tire of our college bus,the bus ran over it.The driver was speechless and stuck, the rest were screaming.I turn my head to see the worst nightmare but i see the guy was sitting in the road with his leg streched and his friend is trying to lift himself up. He and his friend escaped from certain death. ![]() The pillion only has a minor scratch in his hand. The rider may have a dislocated shoulder or so.He looked ok but cannot stand up straight, shivering and was carried to the hospital Funny thing is no helmet, no riding gear.....sheer luck

![]() ![]() . But I doubt that these guys will learn anything out of this incident . 90% of the fatalities are due to head injuries and road burns comes in 2nd place. My cousin who works in a trauma unit in U.S. says even 10% of road burn on the body can lead to fatality due to complications (meaning; you will buy the farm).

Recently on my long ride to McLeodganj, there were 8 bikes and and all were covered from head to toe without an inch of skin exposed. We all were wrapped in protective gears and I wish i could tell you what kinds of stare did we got there from everyone. It was like we are some models or something. But at last we are getting attention . Who cares what kind of it was.
