I think i belong to the different league and i always pass the hypothetical line cutted by the cat whether i have time to stop or not , especially if some of my friend ask me to stop then i necessarily cross it.I am not superstitious at all,i believe in my biking.

I am not superstitious. Just cautious. Well praying before/while/after riding your bike is not a superstition. I generally say a small Thanking prayer once I reach my home back safely. But, yeah cat crossing, right/left glove first etc are. But, again I believe that these are the elements that make us, our thoughts, our self. I am enjoying this thread .

Ok i dont know how to put this but all the people in my village when they hit
the highway stop at the village god's temple who is the protector of the village and pay respect this is done by everyone... bus, auto, lorry drivers do this.... they place lemon and run the vehicle over it i do this too for some reason this makes me feel good.

Its the same "superstition" that makes me take the Dharma dharshan line
whenever i go visit Lord balaji(tirupathi) cause he will be happy to know that i did not cheat by shelling out money to beat the long line.

I always say "Bismillah" means (Starting with the name of Allah) when i put the 1st gear .and while i am riding only at long rides "Haza min fazle rabbi" means (By the grace of my Lord) . These are not superstitions ,i really believe in it.

Well i just got to know that i say the latter one only on my long rides, from now it will be every time i'll ride.

I'm superstitious on pictures, but I don't take pictures of my bikes & car from my previous experience.

I owned an Max100 & RX during 97-99 & 99-00 & I took the pictures of them, but had to sell them for no reason.

So I stopped taking pictures of my vehicles for last 9 years. Trust me I bought more rides/drive after that.

When I go for long drives, I take blessings from my Mother.

Well Im a lot superstitious while riding as well as driving. I try my best to keep Gods as well as the devils pleased .

1 .First of all , I never move my car/bike in backwards direction at the start of the day or a journey. I just move the vehicle in forwards direction for a few inches and then move out on the parking lot in reverse if required. Learnt this from my dad , he says , "never start going backwards" .

2. I always honk a couple of times whenever i see a temple at a start of ghat .

3. Kissing the handle bar/steering wheel whenever getting on a national/state highway.

And of course praying , but that i guess is "shradha" rather than "andh-shradha"

+1
dad makes sure that the vehicles are moved front atleast few inches from stand still(parking) and then Reverse(if required). Be it Car or bikes, he stands there next to it and make sure i do it that way.
