Default If we had a chace of 1:1 with the Doctor

Valentino Rossi was here last week and we all know the subsequent chain of events that followed.

Some of us got a chance to have a glimps, but many of us just didn't had the pleasure and luck on our side!!

So, this idea came to my mind that what one question we would have asked the Doctor if we got a chance of a possible 1:1 with him and then let's just try to find out what he would have answered from amongst ourselves. This is just to gain more insight of the Class to which Rossi belongs and the Class of Bikes he rides!!

My question would have been -

The MotoGP arena is opening up for the 1000cc. So, which bike would Rossi be comfortable with.... a 1000cc Yamaha M1 which he knows in and out.... or the Stock 2010 Yamaha R1, which is built on the same platform as the M1.

Obviously the 1000cc M1. For two reasons:
1.) You already said I know it in and out.
2.) R1 is for WSBK, not motogp . Jokes apart, R1 is not a prototype. It is a production bike. Where M1 is a prototype which gives us the freedom to set it up the way it suits to me and the track.

I would ask him how tough is it to compete/ride in motoGp. once he is done i'd hand over the key of my 220 and ask him ride from banjara hills - ameerpet to secbad within 20mins in peek hour traffic

I would ask the Doctor - 'Why did you move to Yamaha from HONDA, what did you see in Yam bikes which is not there in Honda bikes'

Wow! Yummy khayali-pulav
Anyways, here's my small question bag..

1 serious question:
Has the fear of death/ serious injuries scored over the thrill of high speed (& cornering) at any point of time in your Moto GP Career?

1 not so serious question:
What will you do with the R15? (for those of you who aren't aware, he asked the YAMAHA officials for an R15 for himself at the Press Meet in Delhi)

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back;
and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Hmmm... that one is scary!! Riding in MotoGP controlled track conditions and riding in city traffic conditions are way different but given the fierce Competitor Rossi is... he would surely give it a try..... .... but surely dude.... that would be tough for even a might like of Rossi!!

Well I looked into Wiki and this is what I found -

"From Honda to Yamaha
There was much speculation during the second half of the 2003 season about Rossi's plans for the future. Some people suspected that he would succeed in his bid to claim a third consecutive title and wondered where he would go in the future. His contract with Honda was up at the end of the year and there were rumors that Rossi had become somewhat disillusioned with his ride at Honda. His tenure at Honda had effectively run its course; he had provided Honda with a 500 cc World Championship as well as consecutive MotoGP World Championships.
Partnered with increased scepticism that the reason for his success was the dominance of the RC211V rather than Rossi, it was inevitable that Honda and Rossi would part. Mid-season rumors pointed towards a possible move to Ducati, which sent the Italian press into a frenzy; the concept of the great Italian on the great Italian bike seemed too good to be true. Ducati did indeed try to seduce Rossi into riding their MotoGP bike, the Desmosedici, but for numerous reasons Rossi passed the offer up. Critics say that compared to the other manufacturers, Ducati had a significant way to go before being competitive even with Rossi at the helm. This proved to be the truth with Ducati's lackluster performance in the 2004 season, which had actually been worse than their inaugural year in MotoGP in 2003.
In his 2005 autobiography, "What If I'd Never Tried It?", Rossi offers another reason for choosing Yamaha over Ducati, saying that the mindset at Ducati Corse was a little too similar to the one he was trying to escape from at Honda.
Ultimately, Rossi signed a two-year contract with rivals Yamaha reportedly worth in excess of (U.S) $12 million; a price no other manufacturer, even Honda, was willing to pay."

Well the serious question.... hmmmm.... well no possible guess for that... only Rossi could answer that one!!

For non-serious question, here's what I found you (Pun Intended.... seeing that you are atop R15 in your profile pic)
