am sure MG has a nice reason for starting this poll! PS: I drool over a Bugati, I dont own one and cant own one for now as well... does that make it a poor brand?

I voted for yamaha...When you hear the name bajaj, the only youth product which strikes our mind is the pulsar range(count in the disco if you feel)...True,it has made power biking more affordable to the masses but I don't exactly think the word youthful suits it...You have the RX,RD,RX-Z,R15,fazers etc which every youngster dreams of owning and do eventually, given a chance. So,it's yes yamaha all the way from my side

Ouch.... that's one hell of a burning Poll!!
Even though the fact is that Yamaha brought the mighty R1 to India which is like the King on the road.... But at the same time, I own a Pulsar 200 and I know it's the best in it's class!! But as the many have suggested previously... that it's the might of the Pulsars which has over shadowed the brand Bajaj that the poll is a comparison between Pulsars and the International giant and MotoGP champions Yamaha, I vote for Pulsars because if it was not for Pulsars, soon we were about to consider Hero Honda Splendor as the ultimate performance machines that the common man can afford!!

why compare a product with a company
![]() ........if its yamaha v/s bajaj then no doubt yamaha wins....... with so many products(do I need to mention )....... but when it comes to India, where are the products(oh we have all above 10lacs)....... why dont yamaha bring something good(except r15 in recent years)....... where was it........ ok hibernation ![]() ........ bajaj tried(failed many times) and now we have a decent 250cc(which is best in every sense in its class)....... so in India bajaj wins.......if pulsar v/s yamaha........ no comments........ I don't like to compare nano with honda or 5800 with iphone or 1000d with nikon ![]() ........if its youthful brand in India then pulsar wins....... |

interesting responses... But to understand the answer or to actually take an opinion, you need to go into the market and ask people...
I remember talking to boys/guys in the age group of 16-23 in delhi. their actual view of a bike is it should be a pulsar, discover is for those who cant afford it , and karizma in yellow because it looked like the dhoom bike ( the yellow bandit). Then there was hayabusa and nothing in between. Pulsar has grown to be a brand that FZ is catching up on now. though they have caught on in the last year or so since the launch of the FZ, that everyone is clamouring to buy a fazer or FZ-S. Before that it used to be pulsar.. I know people and im sure many of you will be here, who migrated from the first pulsar to the first spoked dtsi, then to the alloy dtsi and then eventually to the current pulsar that you own. The pulsar is to india now what the RX100 was back then. please understand that ( i know i have, the hard way, no offence to pulsar owners please). And im not comparing bikes. only market sentiment and value. After the launch of the CBZ/Fiero and the death of the 2-strokes, the pulsar twins 150/180 were the first bikes to capture the sentiment of the masses, and provided power and excitement cheaper than the competition. And they continued to do that, giving more features and modifications than the competition could ever catch up with. Bajaj started the trend of digital meters, front disc std, electric start being a regular, LED tail lamps and what not. Yes the designs are same for all the pulsars, there is no difference between the 150 and the 220s bum... But look at it from the owners point of view. He owns a bike ( 150) that with a replacement of the rear seat handle ( 500 bucks tops! ), looks just like the most expensive model of the company, from the back. Indians die on looks more than anything. they will sticker and paint a CD100 too if they could.. and they do. Add good mileage, pricing, performance.. they are sold. My vote is for bajaj, for reading the market well, and capturing the attention of the youth.. that from anyone between 18 till 40 who rides a bike.. would like pulsar.

Considering the figures from this decade and the evolution of the bikes .. then i wud rate Bajaj more coz in terms of introducing new technology during that phase of biking scenario was tremendous.
Where as if we see from Yamaha has come into the market just recently with their new bikes viz. R15/Fazer/Fz/FZ-S/etc. |
