I think its a very simple thing - Trouble or not, there ARE many and many superbikes in Delhi today ! And I guess the owners don't really face non-avoidable problems which may lead to the separation of their steeds

Regardless of what anyone thinks about SBK being impractical in city and those stuff. I bet, you give anyone a choice to choose between any Indian 150cc and SBK like R1 or fireblade for free. There is no doubt the very person criticizing SBK will choose SBK. Period. Its the thickness of your wallet that will often define your view.

Who needs a 1000cc? Yeah right!

A very nice thread started by indian07 blood (Shaan).
I at some point agree that SBKs are not used to its full potential here in India. Reason being, we don't have those kind of roads or the perfect word would be "circuits" except few in South. Here in Delhi/NCR Noida Expressway and the Gurgaon Toll Road always witness SBKs revving to the utmost level.
Citing an example, while I was working/staying in Gurgaon, a friend of mine brought a 600RR from his known ones. I drove it (first time for me). I was close to 120-130kmph when a thought crossed my mind that this highway is not a drag circuit, I should control my wrist
Yes I agree that SBKs are used for weekend rides.
For daily rides, its not really possible. I mean if if you don't want to use Burnol everyday on your legs, or its sure people would think it as their own property in the parking bays.

Another example, jd666 was with us on Gajraula ride on his ninja and he was riding it from Gurgaon to Gajraula overall more than 150kms

If any day I would be going to get my SBK I am sure I would be using it only on weekends.

I usualy max out the bikes abilities before my abilities... ofcourse the people who dont would always say that SBKs are a overkill while the people like me would be left craving for more.

Quite true!! At the end of the day, if people dont realize that the expressway is not ur backyard circuit, ur gonna get yourself killed. Be it a 600RR, 1000RR or an R15!! In fact its easier to get killed on an R15 that an SBK. With great power always comes great responsibility.
