Best Indian Production Bike by Yamaha in INDIA... Giving the Fact that R1 and MT01 are not Produced in INDIA..We have the following options Rx100 Rx135 RD350 Alba Fazer(older) Gladiator Libero Enticer FZ Fazer(new) R15 I think i didnt miss anyother In these options i would choose R15....

I value my life and limbs
so.. YZF R15 how can you control a motorcycle which does ~165kmph on drum brakes and that suspension? purists don't fume... RD is/was a kick a$$ motorcycle and is acclaimed/lauded by journos and users alike even now ^^the rantings made as i really had to think hard and then choose YZF R-15 over beloved RD RX-100 is pretty close, have owned a couple, stays 3rd FZ is 4th Gladiator is likable too except for rear-sets

i would vote for the awesome RD for its neck breaking acceleration
and the R15 for its hi tech engine and refinement as far as Rx 100 is concerned i liked the shogun better as i had both the bike's some point o time .

In my opinion, Yamaha has yet to produce the best bike in India. Though RD350 has great power, it lacks in handling department. R15 is an excellent package, but it lacks the brutal power.
A 250cc mill from Yamaha would take the 'best production bike slot' from Yamaha.

I guess it will have to be R-15 for me as it does not suffer from a identity crisis like most Indian yamahas. I agree that RD was awesome and all and me being a perverted cafe racer I do know all about it but I cannot fool myself with a Indian RD which was made by kommis who tried to put a straitjacket on it and turning it in to a pretty much indigenous, mutated and watered down version of the legendary "Racing Death". The rajdoot made some 30 - 27 bhp all in quest of better "fuel economy" while RDs elsewhere used to churn out 39 horses! The real RD was like a good rough sex
while Indian version was like rough sex without the rough in it!!

kiddin... :PI was never a RD fan somehow. I like the bikes with accuracy. RD was a lil away in that terms. For the same reason majority of the RDs found their place in drag races and less elsewhere.
