For comparison, The Enfield Bullet engine is a push-rod actuated overhead cam engine just like the Evo and the Twin Cam below, the difference being that it is single cylinder. So go ahead and install these screen-savers....they'll give you something interesting to watch while you stare at the monitor and mull over a problem .

This one shows the Harley Davidson Evo series, an air-cooled 45 deg Twin

And this is for the classic BMW Boxer Twin. Some variant of this engine has been in production since early 1920's.

Check out this link - Animated Engines
@Parth - Most of the links here depict a single cylinder model & when multiple cylinders are used you can imagine all the single cylinders working with each power stroke happening in each cylinder consecutively.

Came across this great video that helps understand how the energy is transmitted from Piston to rear wheel & how a V-Rod is assembled.

Also another great video demonstrating the inner components of engine & shows how an engine works

Here's another animation of how the lubrication system works in Ducati with Desmo valves

And another animation to show how a Desmo valves work

Another good video to get the basics right

Though this is for a car, but gives a good insight on how firing takes place in multicylinder engine
