Why bother trying to find some references.
Say 'Yes' and 'I know its illegal'.
Say 'No' and its done.

Edit: Just want to add. I ride on Mumbai estern express highway daily. I like to cruise gently and often find myself some of the slowest moving object on the road. Even some rickshaws overtake me . And here's the interesting bit, I too am riding beyond the speed limit. Meaning 99% of the vehicles are breaking rules. Including cops. Velcome to India .

Default different speed limits

do we have different speed limits for 4 wheelers and 2 wheelers ?

sometimes separate speed limits are mentioned on road signs.

but when there is no such distinction made, then should 2 wheelers
ride at the specified limit or less than the specified limit ?
