Yes. both the setups use carb at the turbo/supercharger intakes. the fuel charge does run thru the impeller blades, but it makes carb tuning a piece of cake. the bullet uses a honda crv piston and IHI RB31 turbo. same turbo i usd to turbo my m800. dunno if itll spool up with our small capacity bike engines. but worth a try. im plannin to turbn my rtr 160.

Hi racer ,in the link u provided only RE is carburetted. The fiero is FI and don't have the issues associated with carb.setup.If u could find venu's 1st SC project that'll behelpful, since i was talking abt that.
Good luck in force inducing ur RTR.Let us know the result.

Hey racer I'm planning to do something very similar for my final year project too.. albeit i'll be using another bike(not mine - hate to fiddle around with my new karizma zmr ).. even i need a lotta help.. i jus started taking a lot of interest in automobiles.. so my knowledge is quite poor..

I am still not able to find time to setup the mechanism again on my bike and then upload the pics but i will tell u guys how to put it up .....
@abhishek : u can definitely try this out and let us know the results....

How we did it :
get 2 1 ltr bottles (a cone shaped thing to suit ur needs.. we used a simple bottle cut it into half and we have a cone .)
some pipe the size of which fits the cone head.....
now wat we did was taped the cone below the handle at the leg protector so that when the bike is in motion the air goes in smoothly ... (before installing the cone make sure u wrap some cloth arnd it whose thread is thin and the cloth in itself is respiratory ... u will find it at any general store)
the pipe then fits the cone and makes its way into the air inlet below our seats.... simple .... u start the bike .. as u move forward the air gets in .. and see the magic.....
P.S. : the top speed will go down (as we are still in process to make that electric switch for air inlet to be halved at high speed) but I can assure u if u put it right ...for city purposes for now u will be amazed ...

As far as supercharging goes .. our bikes as far as we have seen cannot handle the lag that will come because it charges from the exhaust... what more we plan to do .. is get a programmable ECU ... and then program it to certain set parameters like all sports car are ... and then ... see the difference on the performance.. It is a tough job coz we have to find out the correct rpm and gear patterns which are not supplied by bajaj so we have to figure it out and then program the ecu to our needs....

till then u guuys with ECU bikes can try this thing out .. and let me know the results if u find them gud .....

That my friend is a turbocharger, It works on exhaust gases.

Supercharger is directly connected to the crankshaft.

Did you guys change the carb or any settings in the carb when you introduced the cone ram air ?

told u mine was an FI bike ... for carbs it is very tough ... coz fuel consumption will increase drastically .. with more air coming in ...

Thanks a ton.. The main prob with my bike is that the air intake is underneath the seats.. Dunno how to attach this system to it..
