Default rebirth

hi addy I think it is not the rebirth of the bike alone.....but yourself. You are really lucky to survive a head injury and come out in one piece. Under no circumstance you should ride without helmet...Like you have mentioned the accident is not caused by your negligence, but you and your loving family stand to loose more .As someone riding a two wheeler in chennai and surviving for the past 35 years after numerous accidents, I can surely tell you the HELMET is the single most important thing in saving a riders life.
Ride safely and enjoy the freedom.
