Default The 7 Deadly Sins!

Don’t be a BARE BONER…Use PROTECTION
Do you know the 7 Deadly Sins on the Road?

As you read ahead you will know the 7 biggest mistakes that you should never ever do while you are riding. Read ahead and understand the about rider's major body parts to discover just how much damage you can do if you don't take the proper precautions

THE 7 DEADLY SINS

1. Hand Jobs
2. Carpet Burns?
3. Brain Box?
4. Toe Jobs?
5. Lubrication?
6. Seen the Light?
7. Licensed to Thrill?

ALWAYS WEAR YOUR GLOVES!!

When you go down - even at low speed - without the proper protection your hands will be cut to shreds. It's even worse if you hit a patch of anti-skid surface. You might just as well take an electric sander to your hands!
In winter, woolly gloves might keep your fingers warm but they are totally useless when they are all there is between your hands and the road. Get maximum protection with WINTER RIDING GLOVES
In summer you can get toughened SUMMER-WEIGHT GLOVES that will keep you cool but still protect your hands.
Can't afford them?? They cost about the same as a few CD's and they'll save you a lot of grief.

Flashing your biceps and your tan? Six months on and still got the scars to prove how tough you are. Bare arms might look the business on a hot day but drag them even a few meters along the average road surface and you'll get a GREAT look for the rest of the year!
These legs are truly awesome - not sure the scabs look that good with shorts though! Get yourself some protection before you even think about riding. Kevlar lined jeans or armoured jeans will do the business. Too hot or boring for college? A pair of ordinary jeans take up hardly any room in a backpack so just change when you get there. You'll feel a lot cooler than in a pair of jeans that have been blasted with vehicle exhausts and grime from the streets!

MAYBE NOT!
We've all seen the "helmet on top" look -
what's that all about?
Oh, it makes you look "different" and you stand out from the crowd. Right - that'll work!
It's like this, lose your head for a moment and you could come off!
Then lose your helmet and you could lose your life.
It's called be dying to be different!
Protect your head with a full-face helmet that fits you - oh, and by the way...
...don't forget to fasten it!!

The not so exciting version!
Not wearing motorcycle boots meant that this rider found himself with a serious toe job when he came off his machine
at just 20mph!
The abrasive road surface simply ground away his stylish trainer then went on and did the same to his toe. Sometimes in the summer you've probably worn open (or should that be toeless?) sandals - you might as well take an electric grinder to your foot.
'Course they can do marvels these days in orthopaedics - titanium pins and plates will hold things together - but you're likely to miss
out on all the right moves in the future! Get yourself some proper protection - wear tough footgear. You can always change into something lighter when you get to work or college.

Losing your grip?
Braking or banking on a bend can seriously damage your health! This is the time when you need all the grip can you get! Dampness, muddy or oily deposits on the road surface mean that you are far more likely to skid. After a dry spell, a road surface with rain, oil and rubber make for great lubrication - sitting there on the road surface just waiting for the next
Bare Boner to come along!
Could that possibly be you?
Then there's loose gravel - it's as bad as ice for losing your grip and it makes a very efficient skin remover as well!

Here I Come!!!

"SORRY MATE..
I DIDN'T SEE YOU!"
What a classic comment!
Make sure no driver ever
says this to you!
Have you seen the light? Always use
your dipped headlight. Get something
bright and reflective to wear or carry when
you're out on your wheels. There's plently
of stuff around that will get you noticed.
JUST MAKE SURE YOU ARE BRIGHT ENOUGH
TO RIDE THE ROAD!
Always ride defensively - with two wheels V four
there's no contest. A driver is wrapped in a ton of metal
but you are unprotected except for the gear you wear.

Know the dangers and ride accordingly.
Expect other drivers to do the unexpected
and look out for problems. Hang back if things
look dodgy - suss things out - before you dash into danger!u

GOT SOME MATES WANT TO RIDE WITH YOU?
On a provisional licence the only mates you can carry are condoms!
Don't forget that you MUST display your
L plates up front and on your rear.
It's the law and what's more other drivers might give you
some space to manoeuvre!

ALWAYS REMEMBER -
"Biking is not just about riding a Bike, Its about respecting other people on Road"

I hope the above guidelines help all of you.
