Yes. It performed well, he is happy. But as mentioned in the beginning of the thread you can feel the difference in the old engine. If the engine is comparatively new there will not be much of a difference.

Default new use

hi guys new to this forum im in Nepal ,I own an daelim roadwin 25k on the odo.recently my byk started to blow out blue smoke only when i started the engine in morning .after some checks i found out that it was time to change the valves and oilseals .however thats gonna cost me a hell lot of money as daelim parts are very much expensive .(costs around 8k in nepal.Overhauled my dad fiero for 4k.)So yesterday i borified my byk now im waiting to see its effect will definately write if i find any change. However, after pouring the mixture ,i lubed my chain with lil bit of mixture that was left in the vessel and it worked so nicely. also im gonna consult one of friend who is an automotive engineer and see what he will say. Also you guys should check out www.dansmc.com .

for boric acid treatment, what kind of oil is to be used -- mineral, semi-synthetic, fully synthetic. . . ??

though, it can be used with any kind of oil but i wont recommend fully synth oil as they have awesome properties themselves which can (and mostly do) enhance engine life & performance.
And there may not be any noticeable change because of this.
And i also belive people who can afford FS oils will not think about BA (as its got risks too)
you better stick to good mineral oil.
Again, not recommending semi-synth oil because of better quality (and higher price) but many members have used semi synth's too.
Happy borifying..

It seems this thread is dead. Anyway...
My P150 UG3 is now 90,000 kms old, last engine rebuild was some 30,000 kms back. Now it was giving a lot of noises - clutch plates needed replacement, crackshaft needed rework (lot of noise from it) , balancer/balancer shaft needed replace ment, valves seats needed reworking, valve stems, block also needed reboring (already running one size higher), inshort engine needed a complete rebuild but i was trying to postpone it as was planning for a CBR250 mext month. But with my daily running of about 160 kms means bike was crying like - "no more plz"
So i decided, this is the right time to try this boron treatment, as if anything goes wrong, anyway i have to do a engine rebuild and next month i wanna sell it.
So, today i have done dis boron treatment.
20 gms of boric acid powder mixed with approx. 70 ml of 2t oil put in bike along with 1litre of Castrol Power1 semi syth oil. Rode for about 55 kms and i found no negative impact.maybe i have to wait for say 500-1000kms to see its effect. Initial clutch slip while starting from standstill is reduced a bit.
Ghe most difficult part was to mix the powder in 2t oil. I stirred it for full 1 hour with a spoon so that all lumps are gone. Lets wait and see.

There's an easy way to do it, take a glass where ur index finger can reach to the bottom, pour the concoction and knead it with the finger, to get the best out of it, place a piece of sand paper (80 or 100) inside and make use of its rough surface. It won't take more than 5 mins to get a fine mixture and now get a plastic tea strainer where we use in kitchen costs less than 10/- and pour the mixture to the sump. U r done

Prince, so daily u r clocking 160Kms Beware man, its not good for your health, my back is almost done with the daily 60Kms for the past 20yrs of riding. Make arrangements to make it shorten else u will shorten ur lower back life span.

this treatment started giving good feeling before 100kms & it was pretty much smoothen-ed out till 200kms for me (also noticed by the friend) so i guess you'll get the feeling in a few days according to your use.
btw, liked that humors note of yours..
