Guys I am having a strange problem that whenever I give my bike for servicing in company service centre i.e orion motors in my case for FZ,I have seen that after servicing when I take my bike back I saw that everytime the bike hits reserve & also the fuel knob is always after the service is in reserve mode.So I am thinking that they are cheating every other guys also.Even I have seen that whenever any big cloth I keep in my bike underseat during srvc they are also stealing that.Normally I didnot give any heed to that, but after my last service I am really fed up with them they steal atleast more than 1 litre bcoz 3 days before giving service I filled up 200 bucks petrol & rode just roughly 25 km,so as soon I got my bike back I didnot checked the petrol quantity. But during returning home after 7 km my bike went to reserve
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ..What should we do???Should we complain to higher authority??Suggestions & feedback will be welcome???Any other Xbhpians facing this problem???

Yes, do take up this matter with the higher authorities. This is totally not acceptable. Same happened to me with my previous bike at the Probiking SVC and i gave them a piece of my mind in front of everyone. Result?? They not only filled up the correct amount, but also put in 2 extra litres of fuel

Best way to avoid these situations are --
Always give your bike for servicing with limited or reserve petrol.I you are planning to give you bike for servicing ,make sure you dont fill up enough petrol before giving away the bike. Always take out the bike papers and the cloth and also the special Key ring (if you have any) in your bike before givingit to the SVC. I practice the above both rules whenever I deliver my bike for servicing!

Yes, these are the two things to follow-
1. Bike should be on reserve and with very little fuel when delivered for servicing. (Once i had no fuel to take the bike to the svc from home, so i filled in Rs. 50 petrol, around 0.7 litres, enough to take the bike to SVC and from the SVC to nearest petrol pump )2. Keep papers in your custody, the fools might loose the papers and put their hands up later. Once i had a funny experience i left the bike at SVC with very little petrol and when i got it back there was actually more fuel than i had left it with!!! Probably fuel from some other bike at the SVC, fuel which they were planning to steal but by mistake got poured into my bike

No need to take your bike on reserve.
Just make sure that you get the fuel level checked while giving the bike. And when you take it back, get it checked again.

Most bikes these days have digital fuel meter which is most of the time erroneous!

As if stealing petrol was not enough, yamaha Bangalore also gives test rides on the bikes that have come for servicing. I had gone to enquire about R15 twice just for the heck of it, and they gave me test rides on customers bikes.
Atleast in Auto-service, theres no such malpractice happening

I was talking about the scale which they keep to measure the level of fuel in the tank.

My world changed from smoke & 2T to ECM & 4 joke!!

Doh!!! These are all old stories happening in this country for over several decades. If you complain, the SVC will agree to the fact that they took out petrol to clean the carbs & plugs on your FZ. Would you object that? If you did object, next time, they'd buy a petrol for 1.5 lts & bill it along the regular bill. Would you even think of objecting then
?Best way, as ppl suggested here is, give you vehicle at reserve or riding in reserve for some 10 odd Kms.
