Default Hibernating A Bike

What's the best way to keep a bike in hibernation if it is not going to be used for a long time?

Is it advisable to disconnect the battery terminals so that it does not drain out?

In case of modern bikes like the R15, Dazzler etc there is no kick starter lever so one has to rely on the battery to start the bike. How to stop the draining of the battery if the bike is unused for a long time?
