There apparently is a lot of confusion and missing info about the Pulsar Garage Meets. Time for a remedy. And I'll begin with a small clarification.

Tanay: I and Pkon were the last one's to leave the premises, post-event discussions et al. I was not scheduled for a formal talk per se but the attendees and I did have a longish chat session on motorcycling close to the end of the event. Were you there then?

All right. As for the concept and content of the Pulsar Garage Meets, here is a brief outline:

Bajaj in association with xBhp has initiated this step towards getting bikers together for a two-way interaction and sharing of knowledge meet-ups. This is almost akin to an amalgamation of our twin concepts of G2G's and xBhp Talks. The purpose is to get as diverse and as voluminous a number of motorcyclists involved in coming together to share, learn, express and experience biking at its wholesome best. Yesterday's meet was a pilot meet meant to assess a certain format of interaction and improve upon it as necessary. Bikers meets are yet in an evolving state amongst our country's biking fraternity. As in life, bikers come with all sorts of preferences. Some love theory, others are mostly hands-on, yet others show lots of interest in corporate strategising, there are others who like endless discussions on features, performance and value inference of motorcycling. The biking fraternity in our country desperately needs an organized and corporate-supported platform to form a bridge between what we want and what we are offered, both in terms of products and also in terms of making us better users of that product aka better motorcyclists.

These Garage Meets are an evolutionary step in that direction. 'Evolutionary' since the format, content and spread is open to change for betterment. And also since such things are still in their infancy here. Bajaj, along with xBhp as their partners in this activity, plan to take it national over the coming months. Of course the success or failure of such a move depends on either sides involved. They plan to keep things moving 'if and only if' they have a 'clear demonstration of interest' by the motorcyclists in general. Yesterday's meet had very few attendees, understandable considering the short time of promotion.

There were also a few missing information links that I shall provide here.

1. These meets are open to ALL motorcyclists irrespective of the bike they are riding/owning. THESE MEETS ARE NOT LIMITED TO PULSAR OR BAJAJ USERS ONLY.

2. Apart from participating in these meets, there is also a need of constructive feedback from all attendees as to the efficacy of the format and content of the meets. The 'evolution' part shall be pretty dominant especially in the initial stages.

3. The meets shall be gradually expanded to more and more cities across the country. Clearly this expansion is related to how quickly we form a strong and fulfilling meet structure that can then be replicated wherever needed.

So despite the omnipresent natural tendency towards skepticism when something new targeted at 'betterment' comes up , I believe every such step, small or big, deserves a chance to take root and grow if it proves worthwhile. And you people are a significant part of that 'chance'. All suggestions and inputs are welcome provided they help in a positive movement towards the core agenda of these meets i.e. helping us become better and safer motorcyclists.

^^

thanks for the info... I think this is a very good initiative by Bajaj... If it gets the promotion and momentum necessary then I think it will benefit both Bajaj and the bikers... But the problem remains in our country that initiatives are taken but then not maintained... I hope this initiative doesn't meet the same fate...

Is there any information available regarding the mumbai session of the garage meets?

Also the registration page seems broken, no clarity regarding what information is needed from us.
