xBhp Official NewsReaper

So you think you can be the Official xNewsreaper of xBhp. Show us the detective side of you and you can win a pair of DSG Gloves, xBhp Tees and much more and above all if you are consistent in your efforts, you can be a part of the online xBhp Team and win the title of Official xNewsreaper of xBhp.

Who is xNewsreaper?

• xNewsreaper will be none other than our xBhp members who will be given the title of Official xNewsreaper of xBhp, just like we have our moderators. They will be part of the xBhp Team.
• Their core job will be to obtain news from all possible online and offline sources.

How will it work?

• It’s very simple and some of you already do it on a daily basis, all you have to do is try and post as many news as possible on the forum about biking world within a span of one month. The person posting the highest number of authenticated news will be selected as the winner of the month and will be given two xBhp Tees. At the end of three months, xBhp team will select one person among the winners of the last 3 months’ contest and award him with the title of xNewsreaper. The title will be given to him for a period of six months. The xNewsreaper will also be featured in the xBhp magazine.
• Remember whatever news you are posting needs to be from the biking world and should have authentic source for the same.
• If you think you need some hints? Browse through the news section of xBhp and you will understand what we are talking about.

How many members can participate to win the title of xNewsreaper?

• There can be ‘X’ number of members who can participate to win the title of Official xNewsreaper of xBhp, but only one will hold the title of victory.

How do we judge you?

• All the news you post on the forum will be checked and authenticated by the xBhp team.
• Person with the highest number of quality news in three months will be eligible to win the title of official xNewsreaper. However, the final selection will be done by the xBhp team.

What do you get other than the priceless title of Official xNewsreaper of xBhp?

• The winner will be featured in the xBhp Magazine as the Official xNewsreaper of our online portal in the news section of our magazine.
• You will get a pair of nice DSG Gloves and The Great Indian Roadtrip Coffee Table Book over and above the two xBhp Tees.
• Also you will have the xNewsreaper Avatar below your username and your username will be in green color for other members to identify you as the Official xNewsreaper of xBhp.

Guidelines to follow

• The news you post should be a latest one and should not have been posted before on the forum.
• Every news must be related to biking world and you need to post the link to the source data.
• You can post as many news you want in that one month, winner will be identified with the maximum authenticated news posted in a month.
• There should be a format to the news you post. For Eg.
Thread Title – News India or News Abroad – (Title of the Thread) News India - KTM 200 to be launched in India
In the thread you will post the news data with photos if any and in the end you need to mention the source of the news by providing link to it.

Please note –

• Since all the news you post will be moderated by the Moderators and obviously we will have duplicate news. In this case preference will be given to the member who first posted the news, we will apply the first come first serve rule. As soon as you submit the thread there will be a time stamp on it and this is how we will identify who has posted the news on priority. (Duplicate threads will be deleted without intimation)
• The duties of winning the title of xNewsreaper will be over and above the usual posting you do on xBhp.
• The contest will be held every month, so if you don’t win in a given month, you can still prove yourself by participating again.
• The news you post should not be from any other forums or blogs, use resources like Economic times, BBC and other business news websites.
• Preference will be given for members who customize the news adding his own views and comments to the news, keep yourself in the shoes of a journalist and add more value to the news.
• Eg – If you are posting a news about a newly opened Honda production plant in Pune, you can also pour in your personal views about the place, the management and do you think the company has taken the right decision of opening a plant in Pune
• This contest will be different from the official Newsreaper of xbhp, which has been used by the Moderators to post news since long. And no Moderators will be a part of the contest.

This is a good initiative taken by xBhp to boost the community members who are alrealdy in the NewsReaper section. It nice to see a community giving something back to the community through such competitions. This and other similar initiatives should be continued because afterall the community makes the xBhp bigger and bigger!

I have my doubts whether many people can distinguish a reputed publication from an amateur "Blog" or a "Baseless/Useless Site".

For eg: I have seen so many xBhpians many such sites/forums/blogs. Probably a list of banned sites/forums/blogs can be a helpful guide for the budding "Newsreapers".
