Arrow Discuss other Performance Kit experiences here.

Guys,

As we know, the best performance equipment for our motorcycles is largely accepted to be Joel's exhausts, big bore kits, air filters, etc.
But there are problems to the same. Joel makes specific kits for only 5-6 bikes like ZMA, R15, P220, P200, RTR Twins, etc.

If you have other bikes, you can't use Joel's kits. And selling your bike might not always be a good option. If I had a lot of good times and great memories on my Pulsar 180 like good roadtrips, some good stunts, etc. than I wouldn't want to sell it even if I have the cash.

Also, we already have tons of testimonials to Joel's 165cc kits, etc.

So, I would like to open this topic, so that members can share experiences from performance kits, other than those of Joel...

My stock silencer has rusted a lot and I was looking at good replacements; I need a good aftermarket exhaust which should be safer but slightly better performing, compared to stock exhaust?
Any suggestions? I have a P180 UG3...

I had a talk with KRP people, they were not receptive... They were diverting from one number to another..

Sir, I have nothing for the P180 now. Again, my development is targetted more on our racing projects and street developments for premium engines.
Right now, the R15 and RTR takes the limelight in racing. The CBR 250 is the next plan. The Karizma, FZ and P220 are excellent street fighters when tuned.
Bikes like the CBZX, P180, Unicorn, CB Dazzler, Acheiver etc are commuter oriented internally. The p180 shares a few bits with the bigger brother, so if there is a demand (which we have not seen) for hotrodding a particular version, I will surely look into it.
For now the CBR250 and the Ninja 250 is added to the list. The Ninja 650 will also have some tune packages later.
Eventually the 150cc class will grow bigger to the 250cc segment, so lets welcome the change. The CBR is a sweet bomb!

samarth for the price the krp exhausts are not worth it ,they sound crappy , infact most aftermarket ones do . better buy some other exhausts for some loud noise and they will cost under 4k easily for the good finished ones . dont expect hp gains though . you can also look at the malaysian and indonesian kits .

I understand bro. You explained that you make limited custom parts, and P180 is a commuter engine, so its not feasible.

Again, if the demand shows up like you said, I'm open to other ideas than exhausts like big bores, cylinder head change, etc. In fact, I believe that big bore/ head change will make it suitable for your custom exhaust too.
Anyday, I would prefer your parts over any other.

What can I do bro? I just can't find the heart to sell it after all those good times I spent with it.

@ Jeanie: I see. So, performance won't be priority in those exhausts. That's too bad. Thanks for the headsup.

Please don't tell me to buy the CBR!!! Its (my personal opinion, no offense to anyone) terrible handling and gets its panties twisted when put through the loops. So are you telling me to get a Ninja 250 sometime soon?

So guys, what do I do? Should I get the stock P180 exhaust from Bajaj itself? Is it the only decent option left?
Any suggestions on a good aftermarket exhaust for P180?

Today, I rode the P180 of Deejay bro, and it felt x times better than my bike... My bike now feels like its been misused, although that never happened.

It's all due to that silencer I'm sure... Since it leaked glasswool, it's behaving strange!

You can contact Automech(AutoMECH Engineers), they are the 2nd best makers of exhaust systems, talking about only performance.
Also glasswool does not affect performance, just sound.

The link says they have exhausts only for cars.. Should I contact them anyways?
Secondly, I saw a decrease in performance and smoothness only after some glasswool was removed.
I can't say, but DJ bro's Pulsar was much smoother and torquey noticably...

This Anjita Bajaj service has screwed my bike!! To hell with their service...
Can't some folks from Bajaj Auto help/ guide me??

They make exhausts for bikes, all kinds. Also I think that his bike might be in better condition than yours, as I dont see any relation between Glasswool and Performance, maybe I am uninformed but it just doesnt make any sense.
