Default Of Bikers, Biking and Building Bonds on Xbhp

I’ve always loved to ride as far back as I can remember. Started riding even before I touched the ‘legal driving license’ age. Those were the days of the Yezdis, Rajdoots and the Enfield Bullets when the Hondas, Yamahas and the Kawasakis were only pictures in magazines and an occasional peek at a racing VCR.

I especially loved the highways. As youngsters we used to take off on short rides to Bandipur, Ooty, Mangalore, Kerala and then there was the annual ride to Chennai (Madras then) to watch the Sholavaram races. The highways always fascinated me as they still do- many, many years later. I loved the feel of the wind on my face as we sped through and soaked in the ever changing landscape. Quaint little villages, the hills in the distance growing bigger and bigger as we got close. Warm and sweaty one moment and bitingly chill the next. A two hour ride and the language, the landscape and the food can be different! Truly our country is like a kaleidoscope of colors, sounds and tastes and we riders have the privilege to soak in every bit.

Well, then came xbhp and a whole new chapter opened up. Sadly, I was introduced to it only last year and rue the time I missed on the forum. After joining my (nowadays it’s mostly “our”) rides became a whole new experience. In the old days we only had a ragged photo album to show our friends pictures from our rides. Now we get to log the whole trip with pictures and upload and share the whole experience with a group of bikers who understand and appreciate everything.
I uploaded my first thread with hesitation, not sure how the response would be. After it was approved and came up online and the appreciative responses started coming in, I realized that this really was a special forum with very special members.

Then the bonds started to get built. Warm replies of appreciation from so many champion riders whose adventurous and mind boggling rides many of us can only dream of. It made me realize that a true biker’s heart beats to a very special rhythm. Their words of appreciation, support and applause made me look forward to and made my rides so much more enjoyable.

There are so many friends that we have made on the forum. It would be unfair to mention names as there are so many and the list may be too long, but I’m sure they know who they are. Guys we never met face to face who are spread all over the country and beyond but linked by a common bond – Our passion for bikes and biking !!

Good Luck, God Bless & Always Ride Safe Guys!!

Thanks & Regards
