Smile Long drive on Apache RTR 160 HE

Hi all,

Last weekend i took my bike for a 600 km ride which took about 9 hours and it is (12 midnight to morning 9). During the ride i stopped for 15 minutes on the whole and didn't switch off the ignition at any time till the end and mostly riding in 80 Kmph . Is it right way to handle or any good measures to be done on a long ride on apache..?

Thanks,
vinoth.

Query approved, moved, and title changed.

And though all the modern day engines are reliable enough to last the sustained torture, for the sake of longevity of your engine and your own safety, it is advisable that you take proper brakes during long riding hours.

Your engine oil will tell you almost everything you need to know about your engine. Check the oil level and color. Also try listening to the engine to see any changes in the sound.

Follow the steps to check engine level from your manual. The level should be between max and min marks and the color for a good oil will be somewhat golden.
If the oil is worn out it will appear blackish.
For the sound just listen if there is any abnormality compared to before, like louder tappet noise, chain noise etc.

I will try to listen to my engine sound more closely to know about it. Thanks for the tip.
