Default what a difference a new clutch plate can make!

hey guys on saturday i made a clutch overhaul on my fiero.i changed the clutch plates, oil filter, new oil,and the engine packing and the result ==== sexy pick-up.i felt that my bike was getting a bit sluggish due to the clutch slippage on sudden power surge and my mind sparked the idea to change the plates.i did not expect any phenomenal change other than the clutch slippage but to my surprise my bike now has real good initial.i have used a 14t spro in the front instead of the stock 13t yet the power surge when the clutch is released is really amazing and delighting.i spent 1470bucks for the new plates(original TVS brand)and the oil and other stuffs costed me another 220bucks and i spent a total of 1750 and i did not regret for spending that much for my loyal bike.so infact a new clutch plate can change the entire characteristics of ur bike and u can rock.there r many fake plates available in the market costing 100bucks to 2k.brands like makino, frk etc r all fake so beaware when u change the clutch plates.try to get a performance clutch plate for ur bike(imported)and see what diff it can make on ur bike.the mileage will also improve.infact a good clutch can displace every rotation of the crank on the road and that means u get more.avoid clutch slippage and the clutch will have real good life.i have exactly done 33k on my fiero with my old plates and it still has 45% life but i always want more.yesterday i took my morning or a speed test on the infosys road after going to the gym.there was heavy crosswinds but still i managed a good 108kmph and i will get more out of it the next time i open the throttle fully.i recently read about thanmoy who claimed that he had a clutch mod on his caliber and had spent 170 rs but i bet that wasnt an original one.guys who face lower top speed try this and lets discuss!

yes the initial does increase a slight bit if u put brand new clutch plates...also it helps on false neutrals (pulsar owners know what i am talking abt!).

well before i changed the cluth plates that was yesterday my bike was having bit hardtime in shifting gears but once i changed the clutch plates now the gear shifting is really very very smooth but yes i think due to the stupid oil wht they have put the sai serivce andheri my bike is not running free so most probably i will change the enigine oil.

hey will there be any problem if i use synthetic oil as my clutch plates are new.. will it harm plz guide me

well the bajaj clutch plates costs rs 55 per plate , that is you got to have 4 plates which is for rs 220 , 150 rs for oil and approx 50 for packing and 100 rs labour charges equals to around 550 rs (approx ..)
well when i went to the planet bajaj showroom in thane they told me new stock will be coming in somedays , and the price of the clutch plates will decrease ? that is 200 rs for set of 4 plates !!!

tvs is costly !!!
