Default Motorcycle Features Wishlist

Now that more and more bikes are being launched, features that were unthinkable and not so common a few years back like alloy wheels, disc brake, electric start etc are now becoming pretty common.

I made a list of things that bike makers can do to make their 'premium' bikes more appealing(in addition to the features they already have):

1. Multicylinder Engines (better come sooner rather than later!)
2. 4 Valve Head
3. Fuel Injection
4. Full Fairing ( or naked. I dont care as long as the bike goes like it's tail is on fire)
5. Upside down front fork
6. More powerful and brighter headlight (more than 60W)
7. LED Brakelight and indicators
8. Underseat silencer
9. Adjustable brake and clutch levers
10. Hydraulic Clutch (why not!)
11. Steel braided brake hose
12. Radial Tyres
13. Clip-on Handles
14. Digital Backlit Speedo/Tacho
15. Twin Spar Aluminium Chassis
16. Hazard Light switch
17. Rear disc brake
18. Adjustable Monoshock

Care to add any more items to the list?

The thing that bike makers can change readily at not much cost and immediately increasing functionality is the LED brake light and powerful headlight. Visibility for me is a VERY important issue. Anyone who's riddena bike at night on the highway or dark road knows the importance of a good headlight.

And remember that this is what I WISH Indian bikes had, so no comments like 'It'll be too expensive' etc.

it'l be available from indian manufac. . may be when my hair turns gray..
make it 400cc.... there r plenty of guys here willing to pay 3.5-3.9 lakhs....
Why don't any of these companies make concept bike as u have mentioned, fix the price, who ever interested will book the bike/pay in advance... if they (companies) r really afraid of failing to sell.... Or atleast they can say that they'l start making when booking is minumum 1000 bikes...etc.

i will be very happy if honda or yamaha come up with exactly 350cc, 30 bhp 4 stroke bike, which does 0-100kmph in 9 sec and has a top end of 160kmph and gives a mileage of 20-25kmpl. and all this for Rs 1.25 lakhs.

Better roads? We are already on that path, slowly but surely.

The highways have never been in better shape and are improving by the day.

And I dont know which city you're in but Hyderabad has pretty decent roads. Traffic on the other hand is anything but! People here really need some azzkicking to drill some sense into them.
