The exhaust sound of an R1 is the result of 4 cylinders firing in a syncronous order together. Hence its got that growl. Also the valves and cam design can influence the sound a bit not to mention the actual exhuast.

Similarly a v-twin has its own sound.

A single cylinder low capacity engine can never produce that sound no matter which exhaust you use.

That's not creativity, that's the standard american deal of chopping things in the middle and adding a football field in between the two halves...
