Default Buffing brake/clutch levers

Has someone used any solution for buffing the levers? I need to remove the spotty black paint and bring out the base metal, without any corrosion. Apache levers are available cheap, but buffing would be cheaper. Sandpaper would ruin the feel of the levers, so other suggestions are welcome.

PS: Got a SMS from BikeIndia saying brake fluid can remove the paint if it falls on the tank. Can it do the same for the levers?

u can use ur exp of lapping heatsinks [if u belong to that catagory then .. ] .. u can first use rough sand paper to scrap paint and then use finer one like 600 grit or smthin to smooth it out ..

i did same for the paint on rim , which i painted but need to scrap for sm reason but the rim got rusted ..then i painted it back with black !

btw if u happen to found any liquid for the same let me know

It's a normal straight split pipe, with a polished shrouds around the coffee cans, anyhow it sounds horrible, i wonder why anyone would go all the way and get a GSX tail, SBK wheels and brakes for their pulsars and increase it's weight. Total show absolutely no go, but the quality of work is good since it's Thailand/Malaysia
