The rear disc of the apache FI is not at all grabby, at times the drum can give it complex

should it be bleed........

the rear disc ideally should never lock the wheel, and should have a progressive feel.

i quote from a book " sports riding technique by Nick Ienatsch" He was an instructor at freddie spencer's High Performance Riding School at Las Vegas.here's what he has to say.

i quote" less rear brake is more : A bike's rear brake shouldnt lock up no matter how hard the rider stands on it. modify your rear brake( remove pad material, limit brake lever travel etc )so that it can't lock up. and don't get misled : the best racers use their rear brakes consistently."

dont worry to much about the rear brake try practicising braking by using the front properly and you will improve as a rider and your braking distance will improve by leaps and bound.

The rear brakes are more for a progressive stop, unlike your front brake which should be sharp and sensitive, if ride almost all the bikes (220/200/RTR) you'll notice that the rear brake is a bit "weak", this actually stops you from fishtailing in case you slam the rear in panic, a locked rear wheel can cause your rear wheel to wash out and you can lose control of your bike, thre brake balance is 70-80% for the front brakes and 30-20% only for the rear

the bike do stops 80 % from front brake too...

There's a difference between the brake having bite and being grabby..
Grabby isn't something testers use to describe a good braking system..

the rtr's rear brake (disc) has a lot of feel and i was surprised i could modulate pressure in spite of the very little play....i am comparing this with the 220's which lacked in feel....

yup the Rtr's rear disk has better feel n progessive than P220 s

I feel otherwise...... though I haven't got a chance to long ride on the RTR Efi.... but as much I could ride.... the brakes lacked feel.... they simply skidded/locked on pressing half way too.... compred to this.... the 220 rear discs feel pretty progressive.....
Some 220s have sad rear brakes too .... its just luck and how well you feel the brakes on the 220...

OT: I have seen a couple of RTR Efis... all of them seem to miss-fire everytime while accelerating.... donno whats the issue.... sparkplug of Fi issue.... anybody observed that??
