i have a query. may sound stupid, but what fuel is used in SBKs? i have heard that petrol in india is so bad that it would kill the SBK engine. how true is it?

97 Octane petrol is generally recommend for these bikes.

Lucky delhi guys. in Bangalore it is 69 bucks...

As once suggested by akhil(rossiter) the best alternate for speed97 is shell super, which doesn't contain any additives.
Not sure but IOC Xtra Premium contains additives for more mileage etc... which might not do good for these high combustion engines in the long run.

but then what do you guys do if you decide to go on a tour? you don't get that kind of petrol at every petrol pump. and what happens if something like speed or normal petrol is used?
