It's quite a distance from here. A couple of friends truck their bikes to and fro quite often. I'm gonna join up with them, with my MT or something new in the new year.

Do you know Bharat there in Banglaore? He's quite a track freak too, and a great guy to hang out with.

No way man.. He was belting the MT01 out and out. Fact is the MMSC rewards flickability and in-corner speeds more than outright power. Not much to do with the suspension on the track for the MT

Sounds like a plan man. Let's take it to PM from here.

PS: I don't know Bharat. He may be known to Killer or poncho.. they're more regular than me at the tracks and the track junkies aren't a very big lot

Can anyone explain why it is different? is it because of a new exhaust system or the 'crossplane crank' with 270, 180,90,180 deg firing order?

Thumbs up

I would say then that Yamaha is again rocking the ultimate performance segments.

This R1 seems to have the talent of rivalling the roadgoing Ducati Desmasedici V5.This being based on the motogp M1.At 15lacs it wud rival a vehicle of 30 lacs..............if it does so Honda Fireblade wud again shift off from leading the SBK pack.

Exactly, as they clearly say that inertial torque is now in rider favour, I think CBR may shift to second in overall performance .. but, in other matters like tyres, handling, etc. I still think CBR will put up a fight ...

Sorry if my knowledge is low ... but I think I saw that Ducati Desmodici is V4, not V5 ... Has it been updated in the mean time?

The only "On-Road V5" I have heard about is that VFR Rumour of going V5, which didn't happen?!
