Woah! This will be too good for the bikes with a very powerful rear disc break, but then again how many of such bikes do we have.

I mean I am not trying to start an argument or something, but people take a lot of precaution now adays with the front discs!

Looks like this can be used on the R15, since it has Nissin brakes. Any idea why the ABS unit is only compatible with Nissin?
OT: So is this the technology TVS is working on for their Apache 200?

Actually, I thought that this was an article on different kinds of ABS that manufacturers have developed.

Default Another ABS

Guys,

I have also read same article in BikeIndia.com. (www.saferideabs.com). Kit cost around 1250/- Rs. Approx.

My queries are?

1) What is expire time of this equipment? (Since it attached with bike braking, if it will failed to work, then what happen, will brake still work normally or not?)
2) Since both are provide same equipment for the same purpose then which is the best for us (value for money)?

Lightbulb ABS for bikes...

From what I hear, this abs system (if i may call it that!) is not like the other "conventional" abs systems used. The modern ABS system applies individual brake pressure to wheel(s) through a control system of hub mounted sensors and a dedicated micro-controller.*
The one for offer here in India is a hydraulic one which detects locking of wheels & stops the flow of fluid hence releasing the brakes in a start-stop-start motion. It gives a feel of pressing the brake lever on & off continuously.
Still a good development, i'll say a first step towards getting the real thing here. But still not as effective as the electronic abs.
